Heartfelt Letter Celebrating Gratitude

Dear Saeed,

With the approaching period of introspection, I have paused to take note of the individuals who have made a positive and negative impact towards my being. At this moment, I speak to you in the mood of gratefulness. Your influence along the way has been a bright light, helping me find ways I would have otherwise never discovered.

The cherished memories I hold within me most vividly have you in them and they stand out like a star in the night sky, calm, bright, and comforting. When you offered suggestions to me, it was more like encouragement because you stood strong and firm on my capabilities when most people would have given up including myself.

You have imparted knowledge which cannot be presented in a textbook. Your perseverance and tenderness in dealing with me taught me a lot, including how to bear pain without fighting back. I recall your care and gentle response when I felt lost in the sea of difficulties. You always acknowledged my worries about the issues, which most people thought were silly and insignificant, and allowed me to deal with them.

A selfless act which remains noteworthy, is the fact that you enabled me to look at myself differently. Rather than perceiving faults and blemishes as I used to, with your help I viewed the process of development, as well as strength in situations. Even in moments, where I failed to find my greatest features, your admiration acted like a shield, enhancing them instead.

It brings to mind a narration that you had once told me. A very straightforward narrative but with a great message. It was planting seeds and waiting patiently with hope and belief for the dreams to flourish. You illustrated how the tiniest things, even a mere deed when done with love, would grow to be something beyond extraordinary. Back then, it felt like a metaphor of a shooting star…and its direction. I’ve come to understand it now as an explanation of your attitude towards me and us. You planted the seeds of goodness and wisdom in me, and turned out they are growing in many dimensions, I never imagined.

As always, your support has held me like a lighthouse in uncharted waters. When I felt as if I had lost all sense of direction, your words pointed me again in the right direction. You have taught me that strength is not always brazen; it can also be serene, composed, and calm focused on enduring difficult times.

What I admire most about you is how you can appreciate beauty in people as flawed as they can be. You have this magic potion of elevating others, of helping them realize their worth even when it is hard where such worth exists. That is a fine attribute which I will always treasure.

This Note is simply a token of gratitude; in fact, it is an attempt to value your existence in my life and in the life of many others. It is an encomium to you and your deeds, not only for me but also for everyone who is fortunate to know you.

Am I reframing the perspective on the obsession with forests? I think that the arguments and ideas that have been put forward by different authors and researchers pave a path for others to investigate or even demonstrate the existence of objects in other geographical areas that are similar in intent.

You have been a light and a source of inspiration. From the first instance of your support, to this very moment, your trust in me was indeed hard for me to bear. I will not forget the million and one ways, both physical and abstract, in which you showed up for me.

I hope you understand you are as loved and cherished as I love and cherish you to the depths of my being. You not only maximize the positivity in my life but you are one of the focal occupants of my life whose story I am sure will remain with me till the end of time.

The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder, but I take solace in the memories we have created together and in your valuable lessons. As this season continues, I hope you find the peace and joy that you have been able to share with me.
