Dear Sammiko,

I would like to start this letter by thanking God for answering my prayer, leading you to me, making our paths cross and finding each other. I thank Him for making us chose and decided to stay.

I know I already thank you several times in different occasions and even in ordinary times which I will continue and never stop doing in this lifetime and beyond.

Thank you for holding my hand and not letting go, making me afloat when I was drowning with insecurities and overthinking.

Thank you for walking with me when I was lost and did not find my way because of envy and jealousy.

Thank you for reaching out and re-assuring me that I can do it when I was overwhelmed with doubts and my confidence was shattered.

Thank you for comforting me when I was agitated and anxious for trying so hard to make things work my way and for things I can't control.

Thank you for hugging me and keeping me close to you when I felt cold and empty, distant and isolated.

Thank you for carrying me when I felt so tired dealing with challenging behaviors and frustrations from work and other people around me and outside, near and far.

Thank you for reasoning with me when I was being irrational, illogical and unreasonable making it hard to agree and come up with a sound decision.

Thank you for your wisdom and enlightenment when my judgment was clouded with indifference and pride.

Thank you for loving me when I was in my worst, considered myself my worst enemy and unable to love myself.

Thank you for not running away when I was pushing your buttons, making you nuts and driving you away for being stubborn and unable to listen and trust you.

Thank you for refusing to go downhill with me, when all I wanted to do is fall, pulling me to go to the opposite direction to prevent and protect me from crashing.

Thank you for leading the way when I was too excited not looking if I was treading on steep and rocky mountains, giant boulders, uneven grounds and thorny tracks.

Thank you for calming the storm when all I saw was raging water and angry waves.

Thank you for being so patient listening and tolerating my crazy stories, complaints and venting.

Thank you for being my voice when I was deaf and mute from caring too much and from disappointments and dissatisfactions.

Thank you for being my sunshine with your positive and happy disposition when everything was gloomy and dark.

Thank you for being my number one fan and supporter, encouraging me to learn new skills, discover and develop my talents especially when I was shy and did not believe in my own gifts and strengths and go, do the things that I love even if they sound impossible.

Thank you for appreciating my imperfections especially my unwanted bulges and missing teeth.

Thank you for embracing my humanness, weakness and vulnerability, especially when I was in the pit fighting my own demons and felt that I was beyond saving.

Thank you for accepting all of me, who I am inside and out. In bad times and good times. In chaos and in peace. In sickness and in health. In scarcity or in abundance. In darkness or in broad daylight. In the Summer or in the Winter. In Springtime or in Fall.

Thank you for being my anchor, with you I am grounded and stable.

Thank you for being my compass, with you I found my direction and destination.

Thank you for being my rock, with you I found my fortress and stronghold.

With you I am Home.

I am blessed and forever grateful!

Thank you!

Yours always and forever,

Tatako

love
