Funke Akindele Sounds Warning Ahead of Movie Release (VIDEO)
"We have taken security measures..."

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is hard at work promoting her newest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, that will be out in cinemas starting from this Friday. But ahead of the movie's release, one thing still plagues Funke Akindele's mind, and that is the reality of piracy. As we can recall, last year, her movie A Tribe Called Judah was illegally recorded and uploaded to a number of Telegram channels, and people illegally distributed and watched that movie. Now, ahead of Everybody Loves Jenifa's release, Funke Akindele is sounding an alarm, and warning everybody ahead of the movie. Here's what she said in a new social media post she made today.

Warning against people recording the movie Everybody Loves Jenifa, Funke Akindele made a social media post saying:
FUNKE AKINDELE: Hi. Hmm. Don't be scared, I'm fine. But if you go to see my new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, and you bring out your phone or any device you have to film it, then I won't be fine. I know you got mad love for me as my fan. I know you respect me so much. I know you want to support me. I know you want to promote Everybody Loves Jenifa. But you filming it is not you supporting me. No.
Do not upload on your social media account. Don't bring out your phones. If you want to support me, get to the cinemas, take pictures by the standees, post my trailers, the teasers of the movie Everybody Loves Jenifa, and I will be fine. Because the act of you filming it on the screen is piracy. Yes. And we must not encourage piracy.
We have taken up serious security measures to arrest anyone that does that. I love my fans so much. Please, don't be caught doing it, because it's affecting us. It's killing us. It's not helping the brand. We need to grow more than this. We spent a lot of money on that project, Everybody Loves Jenifa, a lot of money!
She also went further to say:
FUNKE AKINDELE: SAY NO TO PIRACY!!!🚫⛔️🚫🚫🚫❌❌❌❌
Recording short videos at the cinemas is piracy!!!
Please stop it!!!
Piracy is killing us!!
I worked so hard, on this project. Please I’m pleading do not be caught promoting piracy!!!
A lot of resources was and is still being invested in the movie #Everybodylovesjenifa . Again, do not be caught encouraging piracy. Thank you.
