There is a creative and free spirited element to ExxP and IxxP types. They tend to prefer a more creative and spontaneous approach to life in general. They means at times they may be to laidback or relaxed, yet their creativity allows them to have a free spirited approach to life and their endeavors in general. Particularly in the extroverted types there is a sense of freedom which contrasts to the practicality of the judging and introverted types. This sense of freedom and spontaneity is part of what makes them values by those who know them.
IxxJs are studious and logical types. They can have a very studious and dutiful side, though they also like being around others particularly if they use Fe (extroverted feeling). Others may value their dutiful and logical nature in the way they approach their lifestyle, and how they dedicate themselves to certain causes and have a strong sense of follow through. They can still come across as quite extroverted, typically moreso than IxxP types who may paradoxically seem more introverted in nature
xxTPs are logicians that may appear to have a more antisocial aspect, though there are exceptions to this. An exception is in the ISTPs where they can appear quite team focused and present well on the team. ENTP and ESTP are probably some of the most gregarious even though they can also have a blunt or antisocial aspect. These types generally have a logical side where they have a tendency to explore logical systems. INTP comes across as perhaps generally as the least social of the types.
ExxJs tend to be dutiful and are extroverted people who enjoy being around others. It is helpful for them to also spend time by themselves rather than wanting to serve or entertain others. This can be helpful for them to spend some time alone rather than using their energy to help or be around others. Having said that their dutiful side is something that others appreciate, though at times they may take things to seriously or be too routine or rules focused.
INTP rather often type as INFPs as they identify as more feelings based than logically based. While that is often typical of them, the way the system gives preference to feeling or thinking, it may be helpful to consider the cognitive functions that help with determining someone's type.
It can also depend based on how a person's test score adds up and there can be certain preferences in which the scores may come out as balanced or close together. This can mean someone is more likely to type as a certain type or as a similiar type.
Each type gives a good indication of how the preferences of the types and the characteristic of that type and certain aspects of their personality and character. It can be helpful to understand and observe their strengths and weaknesses and understsand how a person functions based on this criteria. Having said that, it is also important to understand that people should not always be classified purely based on their type.
It can be helpful for types to develop traits that may score less high on. Research indicates that a person can benefit from honing or understanding the traits they score the highest on, and this can help them understand their professional strengths and where they may see themselves performing stronger in.
The MBTI gives a good indication of how someone presents based on certain aspects of their type. There are sixteen different types, so it covers a basis of quite a good spectrum of different types and traits. It can help to understand more about the different types of people and how they have differences and also traits in common.
