The Shatters are one of the most influential people in the world. The family consists of the CEO Ashton Shatters, His wife, Amanda Shatter, and their young child named Lilly. That’s what the public knows about them anyway, little did they know Mr. Shatters had another child and wife before his new family. The first wife died of illness and the child was kept in a separate house far from the publics’ eye or her fathers eyes. She was left all alone, with no name, no family, just a house to live in; she learns how to cook, to clean to survive. At the age of ten, she was in the woods when she came across a boy around her age, maybe older, he had nice ginger hair and freckles from head to toe. The boy happens to see the girl, after that he came back every day; his name was Liam and they would play together, he even gave her a name. Willow, that’s the name she was given, nothing made her happier than to have a name and a friend. Months go by and they would play together. One day, Liam came over in a rush telling Willow to keep something of his incase of emergencies; A big bag filled with paper Willow had never seen, but of course, she agreed. Liam never came back, Willow waited, a week, a month, years, Willow became impatient after she turned seventeen, she just wanted Liam back. Willow decided she would look in the bag for clues, The paper was all she could see, throwing it out of the bag Willow finally found a book! She was so happy. Maybe this will help me find Liam before she could open it; there was a note. “To the Love of my Life, Willow. If you are reading this, I am being forced back to the city to live with my father. He is not a nice man until I know it is safe, I want you to stay as far away from me as possible. I will find you when the moment is right, just wait for me, my love.” Willows eyes never went back to normal after that night or week, or month. She felt like Liam would never return, summer left and winter was fast approaching, with little to nothing to eat Willow rushed to stock up on supplies. Winter came like usual but this time it didn't leave, Willow didn't have enough time to gather food for this winter, She had no wood to burn, She was alone and she only felt the darkness. Willow watched as her fingers could not move, or her legs, she just laid there praying for someone to find her body at least. Willow wondered if Liam remembered her? Or if he would ever come for her? It didn’t matter anymore, Willow thought, she could not even move, she was going to sleep. The darkness had taken over and willow unconsciously huddled into a ball for warmth, little did she know the man in front of her was the one she has been waiting years for.

Switching views (Liam)

It’s been eight years since I’ve seen her, She hasn’t changed at all. Her brown hair has grown to her hips, He couldn’t wait to see those green eyes or the bright smile she has. Lim quickly stops thinking about her and slowly moves to where he could pick Willow up, Willow subconsciously cuddles into Liam more. Liam smiled brighter than he had in the last few years, He carried Willow to the car. After his driver collected the bag of money and the black notebook, they drove to the city. Liam looked down at Willow, she was so tiny and cold, Liam wrapped his jacket around the willow and watched her shivers slowly stop. “ Hey, boss, who's the girl? Liam’s smile fell and quickly the driver knew he should have never asked. “She is the gift I needed to protect my father,” Liam explained. “ What about your engagement with Lilly Shatter’s?” The driver spoke softly. “ She is nothing more than a last-minute request from my father, but he has passed so I no longer need to follow his orders” Liam whispered, looking down to make sure Willow was still asleep. Liam did not want Willow to know of what he had been forced to do, in order to protect her.

Switching Views ( Willow)

It’s warm, my left fingers could move again. I felt like I was on a cloud, I didn't want to open my eyes in fear that it would all be just a dream. My eyes slowly parted to see a room unfamiliar to her; the blanket wrapped around her was so soft and gentle. Suddenly the door opened and to Willow’s surprise, it was the person she has been waiting all these years for, Liam. He stood there as nothing had happened, he still looks the same, he is taller maybe six foot four. His hair is wilder, and his brown eyes looked at me like I was a ghost. Not giving him a chance, I leaped off the bed and hugged him. All the tears that I had to build up, finally I let them out, hugging Liam tighter fearing he would disappear as he had once done. “ Im sorry I made you wait, my Love,” Liam whispered into her ear. She didnt want to let go, instead, she answered back,” I waited for you every day and today I no longer have to wait”. Liam looked down into his arms where Willow tiredly clung to him, “ I got you a gift”. Willow looked up, Liam handed her a black book,” This is the same black book that was in your bag.” willow said. “ Yes, but this one is for you. It’s different than any other black notebooks in the world because this one, hold’s every minute I thought of you. Every day I missed you, I had written down so when I could see you again this would explain why I waited so long” Liam whispered having tears running down his face. “ what I did wasn’t right making you wait, but I needed to make sure my father didnt harm you” Liam said. I looked at him into his eyes,” it’s ok, we have each other and the book I will treasure forever” I smiled at him after saying that. “ The money was there to help you, Willow for food or clothes, why did you not use any of it? Liam asked. “ it was your bag full of paper I’ve never seen, I didn’t want to touch it, I knew you would come back for it” I explained. “We are together now, and nothings going to change that,” Liam thought. Willow looked up at him, with the brightest smile. “ We will always be together and this notebook is proof of that. You waited eight years for me,” Liam said.
