Differences

What has this world come to with all of the judgement, dislike, or nasty looks people give you because you choose to express yourself in a certain way! We all have a choice to choose what we want to be and how we want to look, act, feel. Overall how we carry ourselves for the world to see. I know a lot of people will relate to what I experience I get on the daily!

I have a good job, Monday thru Friday, in an office with a view, slacks and a button up. But that is only to appease the office environment. In my life I was raised wearing street or sports apparel and that’s what is most comfortable and what I know! No matter what age I become I don’t think that will change and shouldn’t have to for society to treat me just like anyone else. But they always will see a difference! A personal experience of mine, I was walking onto an airplane Jordan’s, sweats, and a hoodie. Smile on my face greeting everyone who looked my way very sweet and kind, but since I had my headphones over my head looks of “just another punk kid” or “he just doesn’t care about anything”. Whatever was going through their heads I don’t know but I can see the look on their faces as they judged me for looking different than what society has made normal. You never know though at any given moment you could be sitting next to a CEO or a National hero that will never get the reorganization because they can’t. People will only see those sweats or those sports shoes and think that they can come up with what you are all about before they actually get to know you.

As a society we need to overcome the differences between the masses because there are people of importance than come from the ground up, yet are still labeled as the bad place or poverty place they were raised. Never let this bring you down, you should not have to conform to what society has deemed to be normal in the way we act, dress, and carry ourselves. No! We are all our own people and the judgement you get from anyone but yourself does not matter. Wear what you want to wear, act the way you want to act, and treat people the way you want to be treated even if they do not reciprocate. Never stray and never conform and let your difference be seen in this world by everyone!

Why does there have to be a right way and a wrong way to do life? There isn’t but social media dictates that the pretty people and the famous or the most successful; those are the ones we should follow and look like and act like, but I say no! No more falling into what anyone else wants for you, and no one knows what you want to be except for you. Don’t let others influence that in you. This all comes back to the fact that we learn at a young age which is treat people like you want to be treated, be who you want to be, and if they give you disgust or hate, kill them with kindness and never deviate from the great person that you know you are even though the world will never see you as such.

Look at the world through a different glass, your own glass, make it whatever you want and only let yourself be the one who ever holds you back from being original!
