Dear Santa
I have Many Wishes For Christmas, But It's Not Presents.
Dear Santa,
I know that you love delivering millions of presents to children and adults across the world, and I love you for that, thank you. However, this year, I have many wishes; though I do not wish for Christmas presents. Christmas presents are nice, but my heart is bigger than 'just being nice.
I hope that you will read my list and make my wishes come true:
1) I can't be a superhero and give everybody a home to live in. However, I was once on the streets, freezing, cold, and alone. I now have a warm home to live in whilst many children and adults do not. I hope that you can make Christmas better for them by giving them a warm home, food, and a bed, even for just one night so that they can enjoy Christmas. Christmas isn't just about presents; Christmas is about caring for others too.
2) There is a lot of sadness in our world. There are thousands of people living in dark times, cold-blooded wars, and grieving the loss of loved ones through illness and war. I wish that you can bring a little joy and peace to these people and that the new year is the year that we create a better world for everybody living in it.
3) There are many lonely people in the world, no matter their ages. They will be grieving people who have passed away, craving a family they never had, spending Christmas with no friends or family, and the loneliest of children will cry into their pillows because they will not know Christmas or have no one to comfort them through their suffering. I hope you can shine just one golden Christmas light, and make sure they are warm, fed, and loved this Christmas, as these people need your help more than I need presents.
4) As we sit at our tables on Christmas day eating our Christmas dinner; I hope that you visit all of us, not to send presents, but to remind us of why we should treat each other with love and be grateful for every day that we have to love and cherish our loved ones. There are people out there who would love to share the love that we have in our lives because their loved ones are no longer here with them.
5) When you sit by a warm fire-place or radiator drinking your Whiskey and eating your mince pies; I hope that you will spare some time to pray for everybody braving the cold winter, sleeping in the open air with nowhere to live and no one to love. Not everybody on the streets ends up there through their own doing. Finding a place to be safe, while having no one to care about you on the streets is no fun, nor is it a way of life that everyone would choose. Some of these people come from broken backgrounds with stories to tell that none of us will ever know about.
6) I wish that we could all live in a world that is safe, where there are no more wars or homelessness. I wish that every child grows up loved and happy and that the suffering of children ends.
My wishes may feel like they are too much to ask for, but we were all given life to live, love, enjoy and embrace it.
We are human.
We were put on this earth to love life, not kill it with our hands, hearts, or minds.
My biggest wish this Christmas dear Santa is to end the suffering and pain, because:
Our lives and the lives of others should matter more than Christmas.
