Dating hazards are real. I couldn't make this up if I had to. #MyWorstDate A few years ago, I was on a dating site looking for love. That was my first of many, many mistakes. I had an amazing profile on a popular dating app. It was in October and Halloween was coming up. A guy named Ben messaged me and we had been chatting on the app for a few days—nothing serious. He finally asked me if I would like to travel to the next town to attend a Zombie Crawl Festival with him. My response was “Sure. I love Halloween. We can go as friends.” He then stated he would pick me up the next day. I agreed.

The Winners and Losers From Elementary School Graduation
I was in fifth grade; tall, smart, studious and athletic. I loved to swim, had a few really close friends, good grades, and a happy family to go home to everyday. My parents kept my busy with swim class, after school activities and a brother and sister each to chase after constantly, but despite all that, I was a daydreamer. I loved music and was actively playing piano as well as just beginning to write my own songs at the time. I was a happy kid, and life was easy. This is the story of one of the fondest memories of my childhood.

Dating Disasters
#MyWorstDate What do you do when a date goes all wrong? I thought about this a lot. My worst date story started with one of my very first dates after my previous break up with my boyfriend of nine years. Talk about bad luck, LOL. You might have thought this date would have scarred me to never go on dating sites again, but it didn’t. I have been on many dates since, but this one takes the cake, or should I say steals the show.

A First Date for the Ages
Brooklyn College. I loved Brooklyn College. The time of my life, until I met my wife. I’ll set the scene further... The Year is 1982. I was 18, and living with my parents. I was painfully shy in high school, did not attend my prom, and had no friends. I received great report cards, made Honor Roll every semester, but I was not a social kind of guy. I neither watched nor played any sports. I spent my well-earned leisure time reading monster magazines and comic books, and watching old movies.

He Followed Me Home
This happened when I was 14. My friends all had dates to homecoming and I didn't, so they decided to convince this guy, lets call him DeathBomb (DB for short), to ask me to homecoming. He was nineteen. I wouldn't have agreed had I known that, but I didn't, so I did. I had no clue who this guy was. I had seen him around, but I didn't know anything about him.So we get to homecoming, my dad dropped me off and told me that if I needed anything, to call him. The night was... okay, for the most part. He was a bit touchy, but I shut him down hard. Then, the grade dances came on. If you don't know what that is, each grade has a song, and only that grade dances when that song comes on. They called for seniors, and DB left me standing there awkwardly to dance with his friends. That's when I realized that he was a senior. I was a little uncomfortable, being so young, but I waited until afterwards to talk to him.He told me he was 19, and, like this was no big deal, swept me into a slow song. Right back to touching on me. I asked if he knew I was 14. He did. He said that was awesome. Wow! Okay, yeah, time to text my dad and run girl run!

Blind Date
I was 21 and working full time at a Title Loan store. My manager and I became really close and turned into best friends. She was there to listen to all my guy trouble and let me vent whenever I needed. One day she told me her husband had a friend she wanted to set me up with. I was so desperate at the time I told her sure.

#MyWorstDate
As far as bad dates go, I've had my share of them. Who hasn’t had a few bad dating experiences? So choosing just one as the worst for some would be difficult. For me, none of my bad dates were as bad as the last one. It was so horrible it changed my life forever. It started out great considering I had already gone on a few dates with this guy. He picked me up at my condo and we went to a sports bar to watch a game. It’s so crazy that I can’t even remember whether it was a big basketball or football game because much of that night still remains blurry in my mind. We ate and watched the game. While we did this we talked about our futures. I remember telling him that I wanted to go back to school to get my master’s degree. I was really starting to like him. I remember thinking he had done everything right so far and maybe, just maybe I’ll let him kiss me goodnight.
