CHILD NEGLIGENCE, A VICE AMONG US

Shaker Joselin aged 18, Joselin is at the top of the list of the most negligent mother of 2023.Last month, the unwed teenage mother left her 18-month-old son in the care of three male neighbors aged 16,15 and 14 while she went off to school. She thought it would be fun to see what would happen if they pummeled the toddler. They punched him repeatly in the ribs, hung him upside down in the closet with a belt, slammed him into abed and dropped him on the ground. The beating was still going on when Joseline got home from school and thinking that they were just play-wrestling, she let it continue. She eventually told them to stop when she thought it had gone too far. She only took the baby to the hospital the next morning when she woke up to discover that his eyes have rolled back in his head, and that he wasn’t his playful self. The baby was admitted in critical condition, the baby was put on ICU for a week and after was discharged back home the teenagers who did horrible things to the baby where nowhere to be seen and by the time words got to the press, both Joseline and the oldest teenager had been charged with child abuse and they were being hunted by the law enforcement officer, a week later, they were arrested and taken to court of law to answer for their charges after the court review and them being teenagers who were just mere bullies but they didn’t pick they size for the vice after they were found guilty of their offence and were where given community service for a period of two months cleaning the market place and the public library and the public office in the municipality and warn not to repeat the same offence or risk going to prison. This was an eye-opening scenario for the young mothers we thought that children are not important and to most people the punishment is not even enough considering what these children go through with such mothers out there and there are still a lot of case of child neglect in our community not a single day goes by without such stories spreading in our neighborhood. They say a child is the future of the nation and without them we shall have no nation and to make the world a better place start by caring for the children show them that there is more to doing good in this world than evil and that the future belongs to them and they should tame it well. It is the work of every one out there in the world to take responsibility in taking care of their children. Everybody out there want their children be successful it begins by loving them and showing them the way to success most of the important people we see in this world starting from the president, minister, great champion of our times, great artist of our times, most of them would confess of mothers love or great support from their parent throughout their career in this story we all can do good to the children at no cost and make the world a better place for all of us to leave in.
