Betrayal’s Veil

Beneath the stars, we wove our vows,

Spoke truths we swore, no breaking now.

With hearts wide open, trust in sight,

Who knew love could turn to blight?

Promises spun in silken threads,

Wrapped in faith, that’s what you said.

Yet shadows crept, like wolves at night,

Devouring dreams that once felt right.

Your words, once sweet as summer’s breath,

Turned bitter, cold, a whisper of death.

A dagger drawn without a sound,

From friend to foe, we turned around.

The ground we walked, now cracked and bare,

With silent wounds, too deep to share.

The laughter gone, replaced by lies,

Our love eroded under skies.

Once golden dreams, now gray and cold,

Tales of warmth and trust grown old.

In quiet rooms where secrets fell,

I learned betrayal’s silent spell.

You took the stars from our shared sky,

Left me questioning the reasons why.

Each tear that fell was laced with rust,

A broken bridge beneath the dust.

Yet from the ashes, I’ll rise again,

No more a pawn in love’s cruel game.

For scars may fade, but strength will grow,

In the wake of trust turned woe.

Now I know that hearts can break,

That trust is more than words we make.

And though the past may haunt me still,

My spirit stands, unbowed by will.So here I stand, my heart now scarred,

A fortress built, the gates unbarred.

No longer will I wear that veil,

Of innocence, so frail and pale.

I’ve learned the weight of whispered lies,

Of silent glances, masked goodbyes.

And though it hurts to lose that fire,

I’ll walk away, my own desire.

The love I gave, a treasure lost,

But freedom gained, worth any cost.

For now I see the truth, the light,

Beyond betrayal’s endless night.

I’ll forge ahead, my spirit whole,

With pieces mended, heart and soul.

What once was broken, now reborn,

A phoenix rising from the scorn.

To those who dare to play with trust,

Who see love’s gold, yet turn to dust,

Remember this—each scar, each burn,

Is wisdom gained, a page we turn.

And I’ll keep walking, head held high,

No looking back, no asking why.

For strength has found a home in me,

Unchained at last, and finally free. Each step I take, a path renewed,

Through fields of dawn, in solitude.

No longer bound by shadows past,

I find my peace, my truth at last.

The storm has passed; the skies are clear,

And whispers fade that once brought fear.

In place of wounds, there blooms a strength,

A quiet power, full and dense.

The walls I build aren’t meant to bind,

But shelter love of truer kind.

For now, I guard what’s deep and real,

A heart that knows, a heart that heals.

So let them speak, those voices low,

Who think they know the scars I show.

They do not see the quiet grace

That grows within my sacred space.

No bitter flame, no thirst for pain,

Just lessons learned, a steady gain.

In every tear, a seed was sown,

In every loss, a strength I own.

And when the night feels dark and long,

I’ll hold the stars and sing my song.

A song of love reclaimed from loss,

Of bridges built where ruins cross.

For in this heart, no bitterness lies—

Just roots that reach and touch the skies.

From brokenness, I’ve found release,

In silence now, I dwell in peace.

So here I stand, no longer torn,

With eyes that see and soul reborn.

Betrayal’s sting has set me free,

A truer love lives here in me.
