I always think that people should be strict with themselves, only when you are strict, you can ensure your character and be unique in the end.

To be honest, no one wants to follow the old path of others, they all want to come out of a road that really belongs to them and have a style that really belongs to them. You ask yourself, do you want to be a copy or pirate of someone? I'm sure no one wants to do that.

There are no two leaves in the world that are exactly the same, and the same is originally true for people. And to make yourself unique in this world, you have to be strict enough with yourself.

And to do so, you have to have a calm heart. No matter what is happening in the outside world, you have to be calm, to control chaos and restlessness with stillness.

And a calm heart, not everyone can have, it needs you to experience some refinement. Because, if there is no refinement, when the wind blows, you will be in a state of shock and cannot keep yourself calm. And after a person has gone through some trials and tribulations, he can become accustomed to the impermanence of life. That is, we must recognize the complexity and hardship of life, and this is the prerequisite for us to be able to be calm. Those who are successful are not such people. They have experienced some trials and tribulations, and thus recognize the original face of life, so that even if they "are into the circle of ten thousand mountains, a mountain to let go of a mountain to stop", can also face with a calm heart.

And to experience trials and tribulations, to put it bluntly, is to encounter difficulties, difficulties, when we have to face bravely, do not retreat, do not escape, just like facing the night, you do not experience it, which can reach the dawn? Back then, Defoe was wanted, it is said to be hiding in the grave, once he saw the tombstone engraved Robinson Crusoe, which later became the name of the main character in his book. If he was hiding there, fearful and desperate, then he would not have paid attention to anything else, and then in the world's literary treasures may be missing a famous book "Robinson Crusoe". You know, life can happen at any time some accident, so you must dare to face it, no matter what face it treats you with. Only in this way can we truly experience trials and tribulations, and thus continue to grow and improve ourselves.

However, many people are defeated in front of reality. The poet Rilke once said, "Holding on is everything." That's the truth. It is to hold up in front of reality, to straighten their backs, and more importantly, to hold up their bones and goals. The philosopher Spinoza, in order to keep his freedom of thought, would rather live on the income from grinding lenses than accept a professorship at Heidelberg University. In his view, it was more important to be himself who kept his mind free than to do anything else, so it made sense to refuse. He also knew that accepting the professorship would change his life, but it was not enough for him. The nobility of a man is not what he has, but what he is. Spinoza is Spinoza, if accepted, he can still be himself, can still be a world-famous philosopher? The answer is self-evident.

It is evident that only in this way can we be strict enough with ourselves. In this sense, the so-called strictness is to limit and restrain our own evil behavior, mentality, goals and even thoughts and nature, so that they develop and sublimate in the direction of truth, goodness and beauty. And only in this way, we can achieve their own style, if we go with the flow or like a wallflower with the wind, that can still have their own style?

In a word, strict, is the character, is the personality, is your distinctive.
