Be a shark that swims hard
Be a shark that swims hard
In the abdominal cavity of bony fish, there is almost always a swim bladder. The buoyancy generated by the swim bladder allows the fish to freely control its body in a certain water layer when it is at rest. In addition, the swim bladder creates enough space in the fish's abdominal cavity to protect its internal organs from damage caused by excessive water pressure. Therefore, it can be said that the swim bladder holds the life and death of the fish.
But there is one fish that is a shocking anomaly: it was born without a swim bladder. Miraculously, it existed on Earth 300 million years before the dinosaurs appeared, and has been around for more than 400 million years, and it has remained virtually unchanged for nearly 100 million years. It is the shark, known as the "master of the ocean". The heroic shark with their own kingly style, strong posture, creating a myth of no swim bladder still chasing the waves.
But what makes the shark leave the swim bladder in the water still live with ease? After scientists' research, they found that because the shark does not have a long swim bladder, once it stops, its body will sink. It can only rely on muscle movement, never stop swimming in the water, to maintain a strong body, to develop a remarkable fighting ability.
It turns out that it is the shark's natural defects, so that it can only swim endlessly and vigorously, but created its powerful. The shark has no swim bladder, which is its sadness and its joy.
The unpredictable world of human beings often plays out a tragic and comic drama.
One day in 1982, in Melbourne, Australia, a new life was born. But what he brought to his parents and everyone else was not joy, but extreme shock: he had no arms or legs, only a tiny left palm and two toes attached to it! One day, at the age of 10, he even tried to commit suicide in the family bathtub.
After many difficult choices, he finally picked up his strength and love and began to adapt to his living environment. Nothing is impossible when the heart desires. He not only learned to brush his teeth, wash his hair, use the computer, but he could even skateboard, swim, play soccer, fish, ride horses, and even drive a speedboat like normal people ...... And to be able to do all these is not something that can be succeeded by practicing one or two hundred times, but requires unimaginable tenacity and non-stop efforts from normal people.
At the age of 19, he was deeply moved by a speech held at school, and a bold idea suddenly lit up his heart like sunshine: I want to learn to speak too, to bring hope to more people! He kept trying every step so hard, but so determined.
Life and career he has gradually sharpened himself into a strong man.
Today, at the age of 28, he has two university degrees, the Outstanding Young Australian Award, and is a banker, CEO, and speaker. He has spoken in more than 20 countries and has shared his story and experiences with millions of people. He has not only made himself a "three-foot giant", but has inspired countless people in difficult situations to rekindle the flame of hope.
His name is as deep in people's hearts as his bright smile: Nick Hutcheon.
If you have hope in your heart, you will have a path under your feet. Instead of sighing for the injustice of God, why not be a shark swimming hard, turn short into long, build your own road of strength, and complete your life across.
