Alone, Who Needs No Pity

Introvert Side

Social creatures with introverted personalities need time to be 'alone'. That's right, they are social creatures, not selfish or shy ones! Solitude is not something to be pitied. Because it is a form of looking for something soothing as well as fun, and of course comfortable. How do people around you sometimes think that being alone means not having friends? And end up feeling sorry just looking at the simple situation. Can I say that this is ridiculous and a little annoying? There are many opinions or posts on social media about the introvert's point of view. However, this does not make everyone who is not an introvert understand.

The crowds that are part of the outside world are often considered exhausting. Thus, introverts spend time alone doing 'quiet' activities to recharge their energy. Even in the world of friendship, introverts are more selective in choosing people they will truly call friends, where they can be themselves, can be a person who is far from the quiet word that not everyone knows, because humans are still social creatures, who need time to interact with other humans.

I've been called anti-social for refusing invitations to attend gatherings of people. Even though it was the first time I refused. I'm not arrogant or ashamed, I just choose which associations can bring focus to their activities.

Not spending a lot of time in a large group where the discussion will revolve around one point, only focusing on the problem but never having a final solution. When some solutions are voiced there are opinions that break them and make the discussion end fruitlessly. A waste of time.

Isn't it natural for a case to then present an imperfect solution? After all, what and who is perfect in this world? There isn't. Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. So, it's just a matter of calculating which of the various solutions has more advantages than disadvantages. Discussions that should require focus only become a place for existence seekers to show each other's faces. This certainly makes an introvert completely drained of energy.

How? Was I wrong? Things don't need to be complicated and over-hyped right?

And about how introverts are labeled as unable to be public speakers. We dare to speak in public and voice our ideas with professional gestures and expressions because introverts and shy people are different. According to what I have met so far, shy people tend not to dare even just to order food or drinks let alone do activities without the company of anyone, such as walking alone or going somewhere alone. They will say they are not confident and afraid that people will notice them. Isn't that called overconfidence? Who do they think they are that their existence would make people spontaneously look at them. A glance at this situation clearly shows the difference between a shy person and an introvert.

The confidence of an introvert speaking in public indicates that he can also be trusted as a leader. My point of view is that introverts who are made leaders will prioritize focusing on solving a problem. They don't like to linger in crowds like large groups. So, when there is a problem they will firmly lead the discussion with a coherent sequence of how the problem can finally find a solution that is appropriate, according to mutual agreement, and does not harm any party. Of course, it is not because they are too lazy to linger in the crowd that an introverted leader will make decisions carelessly.

Another side of introverts might be a little strange, in terms of agreements. Let's say that there is already an agreement to go out together, but suddenly one party cancels it, an introvert will not feel annoyed, and they will not bother with the promise that was canceled unilaterally. For him, resting alone at home doing activities such as reading books, writing, or just sitting and doing nothing will be much more enjoyable.

How about it? Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
