Share a book called "The Power of Quiet Mind" by Carnegie.

It is a highly practical self-help treasure. Carnegie not only introduces the benefits of meditation, but also the universal formula for meditation.

Meditation = fully anticipating the worst in your mind + accepting the worst openly + grasping the needs of the other person's mind and talking about what interests others.

If you are always envious of other people's light-heartedness and you are always irritable and anxious, remember that it is because you have not really quieted your mind.

Only by quieting your mind first can you listen to the outside world and hear the true call of your heart.

01 All things are trivial except life and death

I used to think this was too chicken soup, but now I realise it is golden advice.

Our lives are finite, and too many things happen throughout our lives, and nine times out of ten they are not.

If we worry about everything, sooner or later we will die of exhaustion.

The best thing to do is to laugh off the smallest things and not worry about them.

When it comes to the big things in life, we should anticipate the worst and adjust our expectations.

Don't get your hopes up too high and don't let setbacks get you down.

The worst thing that can happen to a fresher is that he or she will not be able to find a satisfactory job and will be left at home with no financial resources.

If this is the case, why not accept the outcome openly?

If you don't have a good job, you can continue to learn your skills, cut back on your living expenses and keep looking for a job. Or lower your employment standards and find something ordinary but that will ease the pressure of employment to start with.

These are all viable options.

02 Only people who are not smart enough to criticise, blame and complain about others

Don't ever complain about others.

Complaining will increase your anxiety.

A relative's daughter, for a while, complained every day.

She complained that her major was bad, her school was bad, the environment was bad, and she was born at the wrong time.

A lot of complaining seemed to vent her discontent, but it made her more anxious after complaining.

Even if you feel discontented and unhappy, you must still your mind and keep your inner peace and not complain and blame outside people and circumstances.

This is called a state of mind.

Different states of mind reflect different thoughts.

An optimistic and positive state of mind will see the good in things, while a negative and pessimistic state of mind will see things in a bad light. Different states of mind lead to different actions and results.

I once read a story like this.

Two people both went to the hospital, patient A with gastritis and patient B with stomach cancer, but by mistake, they both got the wrong checklist.

Six months later, A, who did not have cancer, was depressed and worried all day long, complaining about his bad luck and unfair fate, and was under great mental stress, causing the gastritis to deteriorate into an ulcer and then cancer, and finally died of the disease.

Whereas Patient B, who was originally a cancer patient, thought he was just having ordinary gastritis and lived happily and well every day.

This shows how important the state of mind is, it is about the ultimate state of one's life.

03 Quietness of mind is an essential adult ability

In his book, The Power of a Quiet Mind, Carnegie describes the three main benefits of a quiet mind: a quiet mind overcomes all anxiety, a quiet mind can be wise, and a quiet mind can lead to a stable and happy family.

All modern people are unable to control themselves because they cannot achieve their set goals and are always confined to an unbearably small circle, which is what breaks their spirit and embarrasses their lives.

It is easier to be happy when one has a quiet mind.

There are also many tips in the book to quieten our mind better.

For example.

Go to rest before you feel tired, face up to all the things in life that will be inevitable, accept all the consequences, and then tell yourself that the worry is here to stay, and relax, relax, and relax again.

If you ever envy those around you who are better off than you, who are on cloud nine, who are full of happiness, let your mind be quiet first.

There is great power in a quiet mind.

It can make you strong inside, free from worry and fear, sober in the world, wise in life, and have your own happiness.
