A Love Story of a Girl Who Goes to the Moon
Dreams Comes True Oneday
In a small, quiet village nestled by the sea, there lived a girl named Luna. She had always been fascinated by the night sky, particularly the moon. Its silver glow spoke to her, calling her in ways she could not understand. While others in her village admired the stars from afar, Luna dreamed of something more — she dreamed of going to the moon.
Every night, she would sit by her window, gazing up at the moon, whispering her wishes into the soft night air. She wasn’t sure if the moon could hear her, but she felt a connection to it, as if it was listening, watching over her. The villagers often laughed at Luna’s dreams. "No one can reach the moon," they would say. But Luna never gave up hope.
One evening, as the full moon hung low in the sky, something magical happened. A soft voice whispered through the wind, "Come, Luna." She looked out of her window, heart pounding, and saw a faint silver path leading up into the sky, glowing under the moonlight. Without hesitation, Luna followed the path, her feet moving as if guided by an unseen force.
As she walked, the world around her faded, and soon she found herself floating in the stars, weightless and free. The moon, now much larger, loomed before her, glowing like a pearl in the night. She landed softly on its surface, her heart racing with wonder.
The moon’s surface was not cold and barren as she had imagined. It was warm, alive with a gentle energy that pulsed beneath her feet. She looked around, marvelling at the beauty of the lunar landscape, when suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her.
Turning around, Luna was met with the most beautiful sight she had ever seen — a tall figure bathed in moonlight, his eyes glowing like the stars. He introduced himself as Selene, the guardian of the moon. His voice was soft, melodic, and carried the same pull she had always felt from the moon itself.
"I’ve watched you from afar, Luna," Selene said with a smile. "You’ve always been drawn to the moon, and I’ve always been drawn to you."
Luna felt her heart flutter. She had never imagined that the moon’s pull was more than just a fascination — it was love, a connection that transcended the earthly realm. She and Selene spent days together, exploring the beauty of the moon, talking about the mysteries of the universe, and sharing stories of their lives. Luna felt more at home on the moon than she ever had on Earth.
As the days turned into weeks, Luna realized she had fallen deeply in love with Selene, and he with her. But Luna knew her time on the moon was limited. She had a family back on Earth, and her heart ached at the thought of leaving them behind. One evening, as they sat together watching the stars, Selene spoke the words she had been dreading.
“You must return to Earth, Luna. You have a life there, a family that loves you.”
Tears welled in her eyes as she nodded, knowing he was right. But before she could respond, Selene gently took her hand and said, “But know this: the moon will always be here, waiting for you. And every night, when the moonlight touches your face, it will be my love shining down upon you.”
With a heavy heart, Luna agreed to return to Earth. Selene gave her a silver locket, shaped like a crescent moon, to remember him by. “Whenever you hold this, I will be near,” he whispered.
As Luna descended back to Earth, the silver path dissolving behind her, she clutched the locket close to her heart. She returned to her village, where the familiar sights and sounds of her life greeted her, but something had changed. Though she was back on Earth, a part of her still belonged to the moon.
Every night, Luna would look up at the moon, and without fail, its light would shine down on her, comforting her, reminding her of the love she had found among the stars. Though they were separated by worlds, Luna knew that her connection to Selene was eternal, and one day, she would return to him.
For now, she lived with the moon in her heart, the silver locket a constant reminder of the love that waited for her in the sky.
The End.
