We are currently in the second week of February, and it is still Black History Month. I have never felt such a push more than now to want to enact change in my communities and with myself. The necessary steps I would like to take are to leave not just a global footprint but a massive impact on the many communities I am involved in. This week I was able to donate to one of the many brands that inspired & helped me to understand that unity and standing in solidarity are more important now than ever. I was able to donate to Uoma Beauty's founder and CEO Sharon Chuter who is also the founder of the "Pull up for Change initiative which was created to advocate for the advancement of economic equity for.

The black community and they're able to achieve this by inspiring change at a corporate, community, and individual level because we all have a role to play to create a more equitable world. Sharon along with many others such as Sir John and makeup by Denise was able to unite with different competitive brands such as Morphe, Mac Cosmetics, & even ELF to discuss inclusivity, power, and strength, unity, and what Black means within the black community especially when it comes to both the fashion and makeup industries. They were able to discuss real topics that were very impactful. One of the many questions they were discussing was what did "Black" mean besides the negative connotations that the word is normally around and one of the many words to describe Black was omnipresent and ubiquitous!

also fun fact Sharon specifically created a black lipstick to homage to former Black Panther Party Founder and Leader Elaine Brown.

I also want to be able to donate this month to some of my favorite POC streamers/Youtubers this month during Black History Month. The representation for Black Streamers, POC streamers, & LGBTQIA streamers as well. I believe the gaming community is one of the strongest communities on the internet. Being able to recirculate, reciprocate, and give back to the same streamers/ YouTubers that not only stream to entertain but also provide sollice to neurodivergent and neurortypical, audiences. I would love to recirculate money back into the communities that are normally overlooked, undervalued and underpaid compared to other counterparts. As a gaming consumer and dilettante, gaming has impacted and changed and challenged me so much as person that I would love to include the entire community. I can list so many games that have inspired me and games that have effected me personally and emotionally changing my perspective and opinions on marginalized groups of characters. Also while doing some research I have come across so many Streamers, Youtubers, gamers that are inclusive within their own spaces. An amazing way to show gratitude for not only the entertainment that comes from streaming but a way to even say thank you for being them and putting in endless hours of to fighting bosses, defeating difficult levels, understanding and cheering on character development for protagonist and antagonist alike, accomplishing well timed punishes, parry's, and pivots, Even down to unwinding and being able to just chat and converse with their chats and or groups deserves so much more than donations in my opinion. To be able to see actual genuine support and allyship, to be able to see authenticity and actual conversations be had in the spaces and communities would remove so much divisiveness and in my opinion usher in a new understanding and forward path to unification. That unification can then lead to communities combining, mending and bonding, and even celebrating the wins of others. I believe that the gaming community is moving into such an unexpected place. With donating to both the communities I am involved in may not be the largest pebble skipped in the pond but it can definitely have a significant impact that can matter too so many. This is not something to manifest but something really worth striving for myself and others.
