A cool Stay in San Francisco
Her look gave me a Hometown Feeling

The morning was long with A.M. meetings and taking a quick break was out of the mind due to the extensive questions that ran time straight into lunch. I ran downstairs to grab a quick pick-me-up for the corner coffee shop, because the Thursday red-eye into SFO was getting the best of me on this demanding Friday morning. I made the corner and to a wakening of my eyes, and a quick shot of blood rushing to all my limbs, the need of java was no longer a desire when I saw her.
She caught my body language as she made slight eye contact and placed her head back into her paper. I tried to play my cool and made way to the counter and order a cup of my favorite, mocha- day- la emoty and asked the barista to give me another cup of what she's having. I kindly walked over and said, " I noticed you needed a refill, so I have one coming up for you!" She laughed and shook her head, and said, "no, please sit down. its on me, I own the shop!" I slowly sat down as she continued to laugh and said, "It was a nice try! Your delivery was cool and easy and not too aggressive!"
She continued smiling as she looked at my shoes and complimented me on my tie as she asked, "In town for business?" I said, "Yes, something like that!" I started to tell her my name and she took her index finger and placed it gently across my lips and said, "Its too early for that, just talk and the name will come with natural flow of the conversation!" I couldn't help the easy way she commanded the conversation and knowing that lunch was about an hour and a half with time before the second session of meetings, my objective was to have this lovely lady have lunch with me.
She gave me a look and said, "So, Mister Mocha Smooth, are you going to buy all the coffee out of my shop until some helpless women falls to your charm?" I smiled and loosen my tie and gave her a look of almost seductive concern and said, "No, my mission is to have lunch with you and somehow try to convince you during lunch to be on the 6:05 wine train and get away to the valley for the evening." She gave a bold look as if she admire the spontaneity and started to smile again. I leaned in and said to her with a soft voice, "Please stop smiling at me like that, because this lunch could turn into and early day with you and I on the midday wine train instead".
She presented her posture with a stamp of approval as she sipped her tea and asked to tell me more about this sudden getaway. I gently took her hand and led her to Napa Farms Market. She grabbed my arm closer as I guided her the the inner side of the street and she said, "So tell me more about why am I lucky women to receive and all expense train trip to the valley?" I laughed and told her, "Now if I gave all of that info away, the surprise in my delivery would be in flames! Please allow me to be a gentleman and have lunch with you first, and then show you the reason why I would like to spend the rest of the afternoon with you!" She said, "Afternoon? What happened to work?" I replied, "I'm going to call them right now and to hold off the sessions until Monday. The room was too tense before lunch and they need the day off! Besides, you killed any thought of a afternoon meeting!" She started to laugh and said, "How did I do that, Mister?" I gave her a look and told her, "It was a complete crime for you to be sitting there without anyone to romance, so I decided that it was time to fight some crime and save the day!" I gave way to the door, and we both entered laughing, but I still had not sealed the trip as she was not fully committed to the wine train.
