8 Rules That Make Your Life Beautiful!
Is your life beautiful enough?
You can get out of the abyss of unhappiness by following a few simple tips that will get you in a good mood.
”Spontaneity is being present in the present.” Wei Wu Wei
1. Be spontaneous
Live the moment! Impulsive starts will bring a smile back to your lips. Set aside strict plans and boring calculations. Follow the start of the moment and break the routine - make an unscheduled visit to the cosmetics, call your friends and go with them to the city; or, if you are usually very active, take a break. You will definitely feel much better!
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." --Chinese proverb
2. Build your dreams
Getting caught up in the hassle of daily worries, it is very easy to forget your dreams for the future. In the evening, after you have done all the work, take a half-hour break, close your eyes and think about one of the dreams you had or have.
Try to visualize what you want for the future: where will you be or what will you do in a year? Will you travel to other countries? Will you have a new job? A bigger house? Will you be in love? Make a list of the steps you can take to make your dream come true. Without a doubt, this attitude will lift your spirits.
“Generosity is the most natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion and loving-kindness.” —The Dalai Lama XIV
3. Be generous
You can redirect your attention from your own personality to a stranger, to whom you can lend a helping hand. You can search the Internet for ideas to put your generosity into practice.
It is not a bad idea to become a volunteer in an orphanage or old people's association. You will know the problems of other people, and the feeling of being good and generous will bring a smile to your face.
“I say to myself that I shall try to make my life like an open fireplace, so that people may be warmed and cheered by it and so go out themselves to warm and cheer.” —George Matthew Adams
4. Be cheerful
Research has shown that laughter is an incentive to improve one's mood and not just its effect. Laughter releases endorphins - "substances of happiness"! - and it helps you to overcome your psychological blockages. Laughing, you will relearn to play and interact more naturally and more creatively with those around you.
5. Enjoy the fresh air
If it is without sun, our body can no longer produce vitamin D, one of those that bring a good mood. But it's not just about the sun. Clean air, the natural landscape, and the change of landscape itself can substantially improve your mood. So, get out of the air more often and for longer!
6. Relive pleasant memories
When you feel sad or lacking in motivation and self-confidence, take a photo album and look at the pictures in which you were happiest. Try to relive those moments and find the mood of that time. Some researchers have shown that "happy" photos can improve your mood by 22% more than drinking a glass of wine.
7. Smile
Do you often feel bad? A simple smile, even if - or especially when - it seems to you that you have no reason, can cheer up your whole day. Smile in the morning in the mirror, smile at the neighbor downstairs, smile at a stranger on the street. Maybe your smile will return, and that will make you happy?
8. It's to your advantage!
The easiest and fastest way to feel happier is to hug a loved one. When you hug, your body releases a large amount of oxytocin and endorphins (in other words, the hormones of happiness) and, almost instantly, you will feel much better.
