It's a new year and with that means a new batch of birthdays. This year 2025, a number of talented artists who have graced our playlists with unforgettable hits will be themselves hitting a major milestone: the big 3-0! Turning 30 is a big deal marking one's transition into a new phase of life, and for seven of our favorite musicians, that will be happening this year. Without further ado, here are 7 Nigerian musicians who will be clocking 30 this year.

1. Asake

Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has become a household name in the Nigerian music industry. Known for his energetic performances and his unique blend of Afrobeat and Amapiano, Asake became popular with hits like "Sungba" and "Joha." Since then, he has gone on to win the hearts of fans worldwide.
This week, Asake who was born on January 13, 1995 turned 30 years old.
2. Lil Kesh

Keshinro Ololade, widely recognized as Lil Kesh, is a versatile Nigerian singer and rapper who gained fame with street anthems like "Shoki" and "Efejoku." Known for his energetic delivery and relatable lyrics, Lil Kesh has remained a significant figure in the Nigerian music scene.
Lil Kesh was born on March 17, 1995, meaning this year, he too will be clocking 30.
3. Nonso Amadi

Nonso Amadi is a singer, songwriter, and music producer who has carved a niche for himself with his soothing blend of Afrobeats and R&B. Known for hits like "Tonight" and "No Crime," Nonso’s music has been a hit with fans across the globe.
Nonso Amadi was born on September 1, 1995, meaning that he too will be clocking 30 this year.
4. Rhythim

Samson Nduka Edwin, professionally known as Rhythim, is a multi-talented Nigerian-American singer and songwriter. With his unique sound and knack for blending Afrobeats with other genres, Rhythim continues to make waves in the music industry.
Rhythim was born on May 5, 1995, meaning he’ll be turning 30 this year.
5. CKay

Chukwuka Ekweani, better known as CKay, is one of Nigeria’s most successful music exports. His global hit "Love Nwantiti" took the world by storm, making him a chart-topping artist and earning him accolades from fans and critics alike.
Now this year, CKay who was born on July 19, 1995, meaning will also be turning 30 years old.
6. Zinoleesky

Oniyide Azeez, popularly known as Zinoleesky, has captured the hearts of many with his melodic voice and street-pop style. With hits like "Kilofeshe" and "Loving You," Zinoleesky continues to be a force to reckon with in the Nigerian music scene.
Now, this year, Zinoleesky who was born on November 21, 1995, will be turning 30.
7. Tems

Finally, Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has captured global attention with her soulful voice and impactful lyrics. From her collaboration with Wizkid on "Essence" to featuring on Drake’s "Fountains" and writing Rihanna’s "Lift Me Up," Tems has solidified her place as a global star with a slew of hits of her own.
This year, Tems who was born on June 11, 1995, will also be turning 30 years old.
