Being a Nollywood star is a dream for a number of people. But then, there are some who achieve this dream, but then also have other dreams for themselves. 1. Regina Askia

Nigerian actress and model Regina Askia ruled our screens for a very long time before even names like Omotola and Genevieve started to become household names. Suddenly after years of dominating the screen, Regina decided to relocate abroad and start her career as a medical practitioner, something she still does till this day. Speaking to This Day earlier this year, Regina Askia said:

REGINA ASKIA: For the present as a mother of three amazing kids and a partner, being a Nurse Practitioner with my own medical practice is the best.

You would often hear arguments that ‘Regina is an ER Nurse, no she is a Nurse Practitioner in a nursing home, no she is my Primary Care provider I saw her just last Saturday’. They are all correct. At some point I would go to my nine to five as an NP in a nursing home, finish my rounds and head off to the Emergency room as an ER Nurse and on the weekends I would see patients booked at my clinic.

2. Georgina Onuoha

Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha, is another Nigerian celebrity who left our local screens to pursue a career in medicine abroad. The controversial actress reportedly left acting for medicine in 2006 when she got married to her husband. She is now based in America where she became a healthcare professional after relocating to the U.S. She is a licensed healthcare worker and has shared her journey and experience in the medical field on social media.

3. McMorris Ndubueze

Finally on today's list is Nollywood actor McMorris Ndubueze who it was reported today by The Tattle Room has allegedly become a medical doctor in the United States of America. McMorris has been out of the Nollywood scene for a while and from his pictures seems to have relocated abroad. If he is indeed now a practicing medical practitioner as the claim says, then very good for him.

What do you think about this list, and are you surprised to see anybody?
