You cannot even begin to imagine the surprise I got when I saw the news earlier today that Nollywood actress and icon Ada Ameh had died. It wasn't too long ago that I was watching and shared with you her interview with TVC where she talked about how hard it was to bury multiple relatives and her own daughter. Now, Ada herself is dead. I'm still speechless, and so are so many people all around the world.

A number of Nollywood celebrities have taken to social media to share their dismay, share stories about, and mourn the legend that is Ada Ameh. Here's what just a couple of them had to say about her passing.

I am yet to absorb the news of her death, a devastating one but true talent never dies, she lives on because her legacies live on - Fred Amata speaking to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos

17. Segun Arinze

It is a crazy morning for me to wake up to this kind of news, it is more than heart-wrenching for me. I am surprised that she was talking about mental health issues and nobody was looking in her direction. I think it is high time we actors began to check on one another, we should value ourselves, reach out to one another. I do that sometimes, everything is not all about money and hustling. I pray God grants her family and we, her friends the fortitude to bear the loss, it is a sad one but she has played her part - Segun Arinze speaking to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos

I still cannot believe that Ada Ameh is actually dead. Rest in peace Ada. May your sweet soul rest in perfect peace.

That's All.
