15-year-old Fahim Bangladesh boy Finds Himself In Malaysia While Playing Hide-and-Seek
Six days later, Fahim, a 15-year-old kid, was discovered 2,300 miles away in Malaysia.

A 15-year-old boy named Fahim discovered what he believed was the ultimate hiding spot during a game of hide-and-seek in Chittagong, Bangladesh: a cargo container. He climbed in, thinking his friends wouldn't notice him. He fell asleep while waiting, and when he awoke, he was imprisoned inside.
Fahim spent the next six days without food or water inside the container. And before he realized what was happening, he was 2,300 kilometers away in West Port, Malaysia.

On January 17, 2023, personnel at Malaysia's Port Klang reported hearing knocking and shouting coming from within one of the freshly arrived cargo containers from Bangladesh.
Hid-and-Seek Game
In the classic and widely played children's game of hide-and-seek, one player closes their eyes for a brief period of time (often counting to 100) while the other players hide.

The seeker then opens his eyes and looks for the hiders; whoever he finds first becomes the next seeker, and whoever he finds last wins the round. In one of the game's many modifications, the hiders try to flee to "home base" as the seeker looks for them; if they all succeed in doing so, the seeker gets to play the role of seeker again in the following round.
Fahim's rescue was captured on camera and shared on Twitter:
Fahim appears dizzy and disoriented in the video, as he begs onlookers for food. He was eventually given food and instructed to wait while medical staff checked him.
The child did not speak the local language, and attempts to quiz him about his ordeal were mainly ineffective, according to the Hindustan Times.
Before being placed on a stretcher and transferred to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, the small kid was recorded attempting to converse with medics.
Authorities suspected Fahim of being a victim of human trafficking almost immediately after he was rescued. After learning that Fahim had simply climbed into the container while playing hide-and-seek, Malaysian officials were able to conclude that nothing untoward or unlawful had occurred.
"The youngster was only believed to have entered the container, fell asleep, and found himself here," Malaysian Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail told BERNAMA, the Malaysian National News Agency. "The competent authorities have investigated the case, and their research discovered no aspects of human trafficking," .
Deputy Commissioner of Police Cha Hoong Fong agreed, noting that "no foul play was involved in the incident."

Despite being dehydrated and hot, Fahim was said to be in stable condition at the hospital. Police and medics are astounded that the kid survived without water for six days.
This incident comes less than a year after the discovery of another young Bangladeshi man in a cargo container in October 2022. Regrettably, the individual was already dead when he was discovered in Malaysia. The vessel's shipping agent, Mainul Haque Chowdhury, told Prothom Alo, a Bangladeshi news site, that the incident "may be a case of people trafficking as similar incidents have occurred before."
Fortunately, Fahim's story ended very differently. The kid was handed over to Malaysian immigration officials and will resume his journey back home to Bangladesh once he has recovered fully from his six-day trauma.
