11 Nigerian Celebrities Who Are Over 40 and Not Married.

As a society there is very little we value more than the sanctity and custom of marriage. For most people, in the logical path of life, one must be born, have a solid education, find love while getting a great job, get married (preferably before you clock 38) and have kids.

This for many is the perfect path for life.

But what about those people who do not find love until much later in their lives? Or people who find love early but then it turns out to not be the one for them? Or those who simply do not want to get married? What about them?

Today, we’re counting down 11 Nigerian Celebrities who broke out of the regular cycle and are still not married even after 40 years old. Spoiler Alert: None of these people spontaneously combust once they clocked 40 simply because they weren’t married. They’re all still doing quite okay.

Veteran actress, Tina Mba is one of Nigeria’s leading ladies. The actress is well-known for playing a diverse number and type of roles, many of which see her playing the role of a mother, a wife, or both.

But, despite Tina’s relationship status in movies and shows, many are shocked to find out that the beautiful actress is actually not married in her own life.

Nollywood heartthrob and leading man, Frederick Leonard is another man who has been the topic of many conversations. Many people wonder why the dashing young actor is still not married, but according to Frederick, he is waiting until he finds the one.

3. Rita Dominic

Another actress who for years has been on the hot seat as far as her personal life and love life goes is Rita Dominic. The beautiful actress this week revealed that she in fact almost made it down the aisle with one man whom she didn’t disclose the identity of, but is happy that it didn’t work out as it would have been a hell hole for her.

4. Genevieve Nnaji

Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji is another person who once again for years people have been on her neck. The actress is still happily married and is not looking to settle down with just any man simply because of societal pressures. She says that marriage is something that she takes seriously and she woudn’t want to settle DOWN but settle down with the right guy when he comes around.

5. Eucharia Anunobi

Eucharia Anunobi has been a leading lady in the Nigerian movie scene for years now. Though Eucharia found love once in her life, she parted ways with her ex-husband Charles Ekwu in 2009 and has not married ever since.

6. Jim Iyke

Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke is another man who everybody has been wondering about. Though the actor has a child with a foreign lover, he is yet to actually tie the knots with his baby mama or any woman in fact, although he has been linked to quite a few:

7. Nonso Diobi

Talented 44 year old actor Nonso Diobi is another man who has never been married. In fact unlike some others on this list who have a child already out of wedlock, Nonso has no child that we know of and no wife. He is taking his time with love.

8. Kate Henshaw

Although Nollywood darling and top actress, Kate Henshaw was married to her foreign ex-husband Robert Nuttal, the couple split after twelve years of marriage and Kate has remained unmarried ever since. The actress is now 49 years old and is enjoying her life, taking it easy, and not too worried about the societal pressures of marriage.

9. Bimbo Akintola

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola is a woman who has been on the scene for many many years now. Still, the dashing and talented actress has remained unmarried. Responding to all the pressure about her marriage, Bimbo famously shouted “I DON’T NEED A HUSBAND!” saying that if it happens, it happens but she’s putting no pressure on herself to get married.

10. Franca Brown

Franca Brown is yet another actress and producer who has been unmarried for the duration of her life. The actress is now 53 and is still unmarried.

11. Ngozi Nwosu

Skinny Girl in Transit star Ngozi Nwosu once in her life was married but left and has remained single. The 56 year old actress has revealed that she still wants to get married but is in no rush to and will allow it to happen naturally.
