Back home, Matt took food out of his saddlebag and gave a big feast to Jude, saying, "Eat, eat." So they ate a hearty meal. When the dinner was over, Matt said, "Judt! You left home for my work, and you helped me, and I want to pay you back. What do you want, just ask, and I'll give it to you. You have worked hard, and you deserve it."
"Sir, can you give me this saddlebag?"
"Well, you can have it. If there's anything else you need, I'll give it to you. This saddlebag can only give you food, not very useful, this time you travel a long way, hard work, I promise to let you return with a full load, in addition to this saddlebag, I will send you a bag of gold and silver jewelry. When you get home, go into business and earn some money to help your family. As for food, you do not have to pay for it. Just reach into your saddle-bag and get what you want. The servant will get it for you. A thousand dishes a day would not fail."
Matt took another saddlebag, filled it with gold and jewels, and gave it to Judt. He ordered his servant to bring the mule. He put the bags on the mule's back and said, "Ride this mule home, and this servant will take you home. Then you take off the saddlebag and bring the mule back to the servant. I want you to keep it a secret. Go, Allah bless you."
"May Allah bless you." Judt thanked Maed heartily, took leave of him, mounted his mule, and set out with his servant, leaving Morocco for Egypt.
After a day and night's journey, he arrived in Egypt early the next morning.
As soon as he entered the gate, he saw his mother sitting on the side of the road begging, Shouting feebly, "For the sake of Allah, give me something to eat!" When he saw this, he was so surprised that he got off the mule and threw himself on his mother. When the mother saw that it was her little son, she could not help crying aloud. He quickly helped her mount the mule, held the REINS for her, returned home, unpacked the saddlebags, and let the servant take the mule away. Then mother and son sat down to talk.
"Mother!" he asked. How are the brothers?"
"All right."
"Why did you go to the street to beg for sex?"
"Son, mother is so hungry."
"When I went out, I gave you a hundred ducats on the first day, another hundred ducats on the second day, and a thousand ducats on the day I left. What about all this money? Where has it all gone?"
"Son, your brothers cheated me out of the money, saying they wanted to go into business, but as soon as they took the money, they never cared about me again. I had nothing to eat and had to beg."
"Mother, now that I'm back, life is not a problem. You don't have to worry about it any more. There's an inexhaustible treasure of gold and silver in this saddlebag."
"Son, you are so lucky! Allah has blessed you and given you a double reward. Yesterday, son, I was hungry all night. Please get me something to eat."
