"Whispers of the Forsaken: The Curse of Eternal Vengeance"

"Bound by Blood, Haunted by Shadows"

In a small village in Southeast Asia, there was a haunting legend about black magic and curses. Long ago, there was a woman named Lan who had fallen into despair after being abandoned by her lover. Broken-hearted, she sought out a notorious sorcerer in the region to learn the ways of dark magic and exact her revenge. After months of training, she learned how to craft a deadly curse—one that used blood and hair to bind and torment her target.

Lan directed her curse at the man who had betrayed her, and soon, strange things began to happen. He would hear whispers in his ear even when no one was around, and every night, he was haunted by visions of Lan’s cold, unblinking eyes. His health deteriorated quickly, yet no doctor could identify the cause.

The villagers grew suspicious, and one night, they secretly followed Lan and found her performing a ritual with items connected to the man. Enraged, they destroyed her altar and cast her out of the village. Lan vanished, but many claimed that on full-moon nights, they could still hear her chilling laughter echoing from the distant forest.

After Lan’s disappearance, things seemed to calm down, but the man’s condition only worsened. The village elders decided to call upon a renowned exorcist from a nearby town. When he arrived and heard the tale, his face grew pale. He explained that Lan’s curse was potent and not easily broken.

The exorcist performed a three-day ritual to cleanse the curse, scattering salt around the village and driving stakes into the ground to protect its borders. On the third night, a fierce wind swept through, and all the villagers heard the wails of a woman echoing from the forest, filled with anguish and fury.

Once the ritual was complete, the man gradually began to recover, though he remained haunted by what he had experienced. It was said that Lan’s spirit was not truly gone, only bound temporarily. Villagers warned each other never to venture out alone at midnight, for some claimed they could hear footsteps behind them, or quiet sobs in the wind—but when they looked back, there was no one.

The tale of Lan’s curse became a warning for future generations, a reminder of how deep hatred can invite forces too dark to escape. Even now, the villagers pass down this story, reminding everyone: beware of planting seeds of suffering, for the spirits of vengeance will never rest.
