Whispers from the Void
In 2103, the deep-space mining colony on Titan discovers an ancient alien artifact—and the nightmare it awakens.
Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, had become humanity’s new frontier. The atmosphere was thick with methane clouds, but beneath that toxic haze, vast mineral riches awaited extraction. In 2103, the Helix Mining Colony was established, housing 120 workers in rotating shifts.
Among them was Dr. Anika Shah, a geologist fascinated by Titan’s geology and the potential signs of alien activity. The colony’s remote location made it perfect for experiments, but it also meant help was days away.
During a deep excavation, the mining crew uncovered a massive metallic object buried beneath the ice—a perfectly smooth cube, etched with glowing alien runes. The artifact emitted a faint humming noise that set everyone on edge.
Anika led the research to study it. Despite warnings, curiosity overtook caution.
That night, the artifact activated.
Lights flickered across the colony. Workers reported hearing whispers in a language no one understood—yet the words echoed inside their minds clearly.
Some began to act strangely—eyes glazed, speech slurred. They claimed to hear the Void calling them.
Security footage captured chilling images: shadows moving without source, walls seeming to pulse like living tissue.
Anika isolated herself to analyze the cube. She translated some runes and found a terrifying message:
"We are the Watchers. We sleep beneath the stars, beyond time. Those who awaken us shall be consumed by the endless dark."
Soon, workers started vanishing without a trace. When found, their bodies were drained of all warmth, eyes black voids staring into nothingness.
Anika realized the artifact was a beacon—calling something ancient, something hungry.
The colony’s AI went offline. Communications with Earth were cut.
One by one, the survivors faced horrifying visions—endless voids swallowing galaxies, stars screaming into silence, and the soft, omnipresent whisper: “Join us in the dark.”
In the final moments, Anika broadcast a warning:
"Destroy the artifact. Do not open the gateway. The Void waits."
But the colony had already become a tomb.
The artifact remained, silently pulsing beneath the ice, waiting for the next to disturb it.
