Violent night

A very bloody christmas movie

Your next favorite christmas movie. If you liked Bad Santa it's gonne be your favorite.

I couldn't wait to finally go to the cinema and spend some quailty time with hubby and friends (it's not easy next to an 14 months old baby).

As it's almost christmas we decided to watch some festive movie to get into the spirit.

Honestly I didn't watch the trailer and I didn't know anything else than that will be a bloody, 18+ moovie with Santa. So when it started after the first couple of minutes I was a little afraid that it'll be a cinema with a lame sense of humour (after the santa puked on the bartender's head) but it turned out to be a nice suprise.

Without spoilers the story is about the following:

Santa has got disillusioned from most of the children because they became very ungrateful and just want more more more they can't value barely anything.

During the gift delivering (due his alcoholism) he traps in a wealthy house with an innocent, lovely little girl, her rich spoiled family and with a bunch of burglar.

Sounds familiar right? Yes, you are right you will see some home alone references during the 90 minutes. Besides not just home alone but Bad Santa. Yes Bad Santa came to assist Kevin to take down the housebrakers. Though you are not going to like these burglars like you did with Joe Prescy and Daniel Stern. They are annoying and you'll be pleased when they are set off of the screen (more violently than Macaulay Culkin did in the 1990 and 1992's blockbuster)

The language is very vulgar besides if you are into black humour you are going to love a lot during the screentime. As we were watching it in Hungary the language was not english but my motherlanguage, what is of course is hungarian. The hungarien synchronous is very very funny it's unbeliable how amusing sentences they can create ( a couple of dacades back, the hungarian version of the Flinstones was so popular that the creaters bought it back from us and tried to create a similar compared to ours).

In overall I think it was very amusing but don't bring your child with you. It was very bloody and definitely created for adults.

The story was closed but what about a sequel? Our favourite Kevin movie was closed too at the end of the first one (we believed it), but two years after we have received a super second part, getting us being more familiar with New york (that is my favorite city in the world, thanks Kev :) )

So back to my question a second part is always an option. Or a prequel? they show us the past of Santa but it was not very detailed. We do not know how he became himself. What happened? Some magic of course. That would be an interesting storyline. Beyond that the story of the family was let a little open. They didn't turn out to be very good people at the end their line left open. So nothing is closed. Specially today in the multiverse's area when every character gets his/her own movie then they can play with each other's and together as well (your guess is right I love Marvel so much).

Am I not convinced you? Your wife or husband doesn't want to go with you to the cinema? I'll promise you he or she is going to enjoy it. How do I know? Because my dear husband liked it a lot altough he is not the one who like comedy movies. But as I told you before, this dark humoured comedy turned out to be a slasher.
