These movie trailers left me with a dreadful feeling in my stomach.

When I went to go watch Primate on Tuesday this week, we got so many horror movie trailers before the film. Two of them were brand new, and I became so tensed up in the theater while watching the trailers. I had no idea these films were even being released, and now these two horror movies are now added to the list of my most anticipated horror films of the year.

Both of these films look so original, and I can't wait to watch these movies once they are released!

I'm going to be going over spoilers right now with both trailers, so if you want to turn back now and go watch the trailer for yourself, I totally get it!

Undertone

I'm pretty surprised we don't have enough films that focus on radio stations or podcasts. The only one I have seen that heavily focused on a concept like this was Pontypool, which was one of the most creative zombie films ever made. Undertone is following this same concept, but what if you woke up a ghost by accident?

This is only a theory so far, because I don't think it's a ghost that the main character wakes up by accident. A young woman and a friend of hers are both on their horror podcast, and while they are listening to a mystery conversation with a woman on the podcast, the main character freaks out over something strange.

She is starting to hear sounds in her own house, and she starts to beg her friend that they need to stop recording.

It's an amazing and scary concept, the thought of releasing something evil within the safety of your home is so terrifying to think about.

During the trailer, we get quick glimpses of terror, and the only thing that we know, is that this mystery entity is a woman. We get a quick image of her on a red screen, that I thought was so damn creepy. And then toward the end of the trailer, we see the silhouette of this woman standing right behind the main character in the dark.

It's one of the scariest trailers I have seen in a while, and I hope this movie is going to be great!

Passenger

I honestly could not find any image for this movie online. We only got a short teaser trailer in the theater, and it was so effective! I thought it was a random commercial that the theater was showing, but it was secretly a trailer to a horror movie!

In the beginning of the trailer, we see two guys going for a drive in the middle of the night. I thought the commercial was going to be over a car or a water product, because one dude kept telling his friend that he wouldn't need to go to the bathroom after drinking so much water. His friend gets pissed off at this statement, and sure enough, the friend has to go take a piss outside.

His friend pulls the car over, and the dude wanders out to the woods to pee. Then he hears the car is honking like crazy, and the guy gets a little irritated, yelling to his friend that he is coming. He walks back to the car, but notices something freaking creepy. Every single car door is open, including the trunk of the car. The car is on, and his friend is missing.

The guy gets in the car, looking around for his friend, until he gets the scare of his life, with his friend falling on top of the car, begging in his friend to save him, as he gets dragged off by an unseen force.

The guy takes off driving in a total panic, and he realizes that he keeps passing his friend, standing on the side of the road. This continues on for a while, until his dead friend suddenly appears next to him in the car, screaming.

This is such a brilliant trailer. It gives us enough to know that some crazy shit is going on here, and it makes me wonder what kind of monster is attacking these two men!

I can't wait to check out both of these horror films when they come out!
