The Pizza Delivery

This story is based on a true incident that happened with a pizza delivery boy. The incident occurred with William when he used to work part-time at a small pizza place during his teenage.

One night around 1 am, William was about to leave for home after completing his shift when the phone suddenly rang at the pizza place William picked up the phone and on the other side there was someone who was talking in a rather hesitant voice at first . William thought of declining the order as it was already past the closing hour but when the man placed an order for four large pizzas William accepted it because generally with such large orders came a generous tip and William could really do with some extra cash .

William quickly got the pizzas ready and went out to deliver them. The address was quite far away from the pizza place located somewhere in the outskirts. It was pretty late at night and the route to the location was also deserted. It was a dirt road and there were lots of trees and bushes surrounding it. There was not a single street light on the way which made the whole route really dark.

After driving for a while William finally reached the address. He stood in front of a very strange-looking old house. The house was right in the middle of the forest area and not a single light bulb was on in the house, in fact, there was no movement to be noticed around. It seemed as if the house was totally deserted and nobody had inhabited it in years.

If William went away without delivering the order and without informing his manager, he knew he would receive a scolding and possibly a salary cut.

When the manager didn't answer, William decided to go in and deliver the pizzas. As William moved forward, one of the lights inside the house switched on, giving him confidence that someone was there. He buzzed the doorbell and announced the pizza delivery, but nobody opened the door. William pressed the doorbell again and heard footsteps approaching, but once again, no one opened the door. Just as William was about to leave, the door opened on its own.

Nervously, William entered the dimly lit hall, finding nobody inside. He exclaimed, "Hello, hello! Is anybody there? Your pizza is here." Suddenly, a black cat emerged from under the sofa and ran towards the bedroom. As the cat entered the room, the lights and TV turned on instantly, accompanied by the sound of children giggling.

William suspected someone was playing a prank on him and entered the room angrily. Inside, he found two little girls sitting on the bed, staring at him without moving an inch. He complained about ringing the doorbell repeatedly without a response. However, the kids continued to stare at him in silence.

William repeated, "I've come to deliver the pizza. Is there an adult around here who can pay the bill?" The kids' eyes suddenly turned white, and their silence was broken by evil laughter. They pointed towards the door behind William. When he turned, he was startled to see the shadowy figure of a woman standing in front of him.

Terrified, William managed to run to his bike and left the place immediately. The shadowy figure and the two little girls watched him leave from the gate. However, after going a little further, William sensed something was wrong with his bike. It was making strange noises and eventually stopped. Worried, he called the police for help and noticed the reflection in his bike's rear-view mirror—the same deadly shadowy figure and the two little girls standing behind him. They approached him slowly.

Panicked, William abandoned his bike and sought refuge in the nearby jungle. Exhausted, he hid behind a tree, praying for his life. Eventually, he heard the distant sound of police sirens, which boosted his courage. Gathering his energy, he started running again. When he reached the spot where he left his bike, he found the police investigating it. He recounted the entire incident to the cops and led them back to the haunted house.

Upon investigating, the police found nothing except a wild cat. The next morning, William learned that the house had been vacant for the past three years. Additionally, three years ago, a woman and her two little daughters had been murdered in that very house. William was stunned by this revelation and believed that what he witnessed that night were the ghosts of the woman and her daughters, still haunting the house.

However, he couldn't explain who had placed the pizza delivery order that night. The incident had such a profound impact on him that he decided to quit his job as a pizza delivery guy. Even to this day, the thought of that incident gives him chills.
