In the year 2230, antiques had become rare treasures. Among them, the Mirror of Shadows was infamous — a tall, ornate mirror rumored to show more than just a reflection.

Lara, a curious collector, acquired the mirror at an auction in the ruins of old Paris. At first, it was beautiful — a shimmering glass framed with twisting black vines.

But when Lara looked into it, her reflection twisted. Faces of strangers appeared behind her, eyes hollow and mouths frozen in silent screams.

The mirror didn’t just show images — it revealed dark secrets and fears lurking in the soul.

At night, Lara would wake to see figures emerging from the glass, whispering forgotten memories and warnings.

She tried to cover the mirror, hide it away — but it always found a way back into her vision.

Friends who visited her apartment began to change — becoming cold, distant, their eyes glazing over as if possessed.

One night, Lara saw her own reflection step out of the mirror. It smiled cruelly.

The shadow-self promised freedom from pain — if Lara would only trade places.

Desperate, Lara shattered the mirror.

But the shards did not break — they reassembled, surrounding her in a cage of glass and darkness.

The last thing she saw was her reflection grinning — trapped forever in the Mirror of Shadows.
