Enzo.

Missing.

Her brother.

This was all she could think while travelling. Praying to reach her destination as soon as possible. Enchanting "I have to save him" in her mind, time to time.

Soon, she reached the bunker. Showing her ID so they could let her in as she needed to show them she was Enzo's sister and needed to go in. They let her in. She then searched the bunker, looking around, trying to find something and that's when she did find something.

Enzo's bag.

She quickly grabbed it, crouched down and rummaged through it, hoping to find anything, anything, that could give her a clue of where he could be. And that's when she found it. A paper. She quickly rolled it open and saw bunch of locations, marked, trailed paths. A map. She thought. She stoop up while looking at the map and found the small drawing of the bunker. She trailed one of the paths starting from there slowly, and then her eyes stopped on the destination. It was the forest, marked with a circle. She found it, she found the way. Wasting no time, she turned around and sprinted out, heading to her destination.

Her breathe hitched. She was infront of it. The same rumored forest. She wasn't gonna lie it looked, felt, scarier than what she had heard. How could anyone even go there. Se thought. One look, and you will feel like turning around and just run and not even glance back. But there's no going back. She won't leave, not until she finds out what happened to her brother. She took a deep breathe, gaining her confidence, ready to go in and vowing to find her brother.

Whispers. She heard it. And she was sure of it. She flinched and looked around, trying to find its source but

No one.

No one was there. And that just increased her fear. But she tried to brush it off and moved forward, but again

Whispers, "Go back."

She heard the words clearly. But her determination was stronger than her fear. She again moved forward, ignoring the whispers.

Hours passed, but it felt like decades for her. She has been searching for her brother in this woods but still no clue. The whispers continued to follow her but she didn't let them distract her. Going and going. And suddenly something caught her eyes. In the distant, not too far, she saw something that looked like legs? She moved towards it and the closer she got, the clearer vision she was getting of the thing infront of her. It looked like a body. And when she was only a feet away, she saw him.

Enzo. Her brother.

"Enzo!" She crouched infront of him and shook him vigorously, repeatedly calling his name, hoping he would open his eyes. And he did. He looked at her, stunned.

"You're awake!", she said and hugged him while crying.

"Adira? What...are you doing here? Go back! This place is not safe. RUN! run before they get you!", Enzo said, trying to make her leave.

"I am not going back without you!"

"Don't be stubborn! I am infected. I can't be saved. Just a little later and I will be gone."

"Stop saying this! We are going back together. We'll get you treated."

"How are you going to take me back when my body is not going to be there?"

She frowned. What? What was he saying? Adira thought.

And that's when she understood what he meant. Enzo's body... it was staring to disappear, like a smoke in the wind. Bit by bit he was vanishing into thin air. She tried to hold him but her hand slipped through his body like he was some kind of air.

"Wait! No! What's happening!" Panic surged through her, evident in her voice.

"Goodbye Adira. Take good care of yourself. Leave NOW. Before it's too late."

And then he was gone.

Vanished.

Next part is gonna be the last! Will she be able to get out or meet the same fate as her brother?
