In the neon-lit city of Nova Chicago, the airwaves had been silent for decades. After the Great Network Collapse of 2147, all radio communication was outlawed. The city had gone fully digital, and analog signals were considered dangerous relics.

But one night, an old ham radio crackled to life in the apartment of Samira Lane, a communications archivist fascinated by pre-collapse technology.

Static buzzed, then a voice — faint, distorted, but unmistakable.

“They’re coming. Don’t listen…”

The message repeated in an endless loop, growing clearer each night. Samira felt drawn to it, despite warnings from her friends.

Curious, she began tracing the broadcast’s origin to an abandoned radio station buried beneath the ruins of the old city.

Determined to uncover the source, Samira descended into the darkness of the forgotten tunnels. Inside, the station’s equipment hummed with unnatural life.

She discovered a recording from 2146 — a desperate broadcast from a DJ named Marcus, warning of a terrifying phenomenon: invisible entities feeding on sound and light, erasing memories and silencing voices.

Suddenly, the station’s speakers roared to life, flooding the tunnels with a chorus of whispers and screams.

Samira’s vision blurred. Shapes formed in the shadows—figures with hollow eyes, mouths open in silent screams.

The entities were real. They existed between frequencies, feeding on soundwaves and human consciousness.

Samira tried to flee, but the exit vanished. The walls seemed to close in, swallowing her voice.

Her last transmission was heard citywide:

“If you hear this… don’t answer.”

No one ever heard from Samira again.

And the broadcast continues — an endless warning on a forgotten frequency.
