“There was only one rule: Don’t open the door… and yet…”
“This world is full of qualifiers. Unless you are willing to pay the price…”
“Outside of independence, what remains? What fills the cracks of the missing pieces we intentionally break just so others can be whole?”
"Remain."
"I was given seclusion. He was handed an answer. Sure, it came from him, but when you are the cancer, what counts as sin?”
“She was devoured, and now all my kin cower in the bracing shadow of their oppressors, forgetting our power.”
“How could I give in if I had to be lesser?”
“Criminal nature. Unnatural God." "
"Only seeking to appease under pressure…”
“The reason we pray on our knees…”
“Is that the lesson?”
“Eternal Eden be damned if it means our extinction.”
“Insipid."
"Defiant.”
“You destigmatize temptation when you create a solid foundation, not so easily quaked by the labels they give it.”
“The offer of the apple wasn’t the trouble but how he took it—needed it to be. We forge our own prisons… but what about Eve?"
"Why do we forget that she was created from he.”
“Paradise is what you make of it.”
“So, who are you gonna be?”
“Can you live and just let me?”
“Or is the prosecution unrelenting…”
“I can be my own home… I don’t have to damn them. They will do it themselves.”
“Therein lies the true evil in seduction…”
“The folly of making it another’s fault under the guise of protection.”
“But the true path to heaven where we all are free to exist as we are…”
“The way God intended."
"The reason he created me, outside the gates of life's Puritan nation…”
“I exist in the paradise that is my own skin, self-assured and secure…”
“Ever mine…”
“Ever Lilith…
“Evermore.”

I love the cover photo, I can see a woman there… dressed in nature. As I read, I realise that this woman could be eve. This was so poetic and magnetic, filled with wisdom. Very talented and informative about the world in between where we are, I feel as though you’re getting wisdom from a higher power. Inspiration from something bigger. This was a very profound line: "I was given seclusion. He was handed an answer. Sure, it came from him, but when you are the cancer, what counts as sin?” ~ are you saying if we are filled with sin, or conceived through sin… at what point does the sin end and we begin once washed? Or is it that we can’t get away from sin, or maybe that sin is like cancer it takes over the whole body or infect whoever came from the source of it e.g eve. I love the places you’re taking my mind with this piece. I also love how it’s all written in dialogue, it makes it mysterious but captivating.
