The Hitchhiker's Horror: A Dark Encounter on a Desolate Road
A tale of terror that will leave you questioning every hitchhiker you see

It was a dark and stormy night, and Sarah was driving home from her late shift at the hospital. She had always been uneasy driving in the rain, and tonight was no exception. The wind was howling, and the rain was pouring down in sheets, making it difficult to see the road ahead.
As she approached a deserted stretch of road, Sarah saw a figure walking along the side of the road. She slowed down and rolled down her window to ask if they needed help. The figure was a man, dressed in tattered clothes and soaked to the bone. He looked up at Sarah with hollow eyes and spoke in a voice that sent chills down her spine.
"Can you give me a ride?" he asked, his voice barely audible over the sound of the rain.
Sarah hesitated for a moment. She had heard stories about hitchhikers being dangerous, but she couldn't leave the man out in the rain. She unlocked the doors and motioned for him to get in.
As he climbed into the passenger seat, Sarah noticed a foul smell emanating from him. It was a mix of rotting flesh and something else that she couldn't quite place. She tried to roll down the windows to let in some fresh air, but they wouldn't budge.
The man sat quietly beside her, his eyes fixed straight ahead. Sarah tried to start a conversation, but he didn't seem interested in talking. She turned on the radio to break the silence, but all she heard was static.
As they approached an old bridge, the car suddenly came to a halt. Sarah tried to restart the engine, but it wouldn't budge. She checked her phone, but there was no signal.
The man in the passenger seat suddenly turned to face her. His eyes had changed, and they now glowed a bright red. Sarah screamed and tried to open the door, but it was stuck. She was trapped.
The man reached out and grabbed her arm with an icy grip. Sarah felt a jolt of pain shoot through her body as his skin made contact with hers. She tried to pull away, but he was too strong.
She looked into his eyes and saw something inhuman staring back at her. The man's face began to contort and change, revealing sharp teeth and elongated claws.
Sarah screamed as the creature attacked her, tearing into her flesh with ferocious strength. She tried to fight back, but it was no use. The creature was too powerful.
As the rain continued to pour down, Sarah's screams echoed across the deserted bridge, lost to the howling wind. The creature feasted on her body, its hunger finally sated after months of searching for a victim.
The next day, a passing motorist saw Sarah's abandoned car on the bridge and called the police. When they arrived, they found no trace of Sarah, only the stench of death and the remnants of her car.
To this day, people avoid that stretch of road, fearful of encountering the creature that claimed Sarah's life. It remains a mystery, with no explanation as to what the creature was or where it came from. All that remains is a warning to never pick up hitchhikers on that fateful bridge.
