Once upon a time, there was a grand old house on Pine Street. It was a beautiful house with a large front yard and a white picket fence. However, the house had a dark past. Many years ago, a family had lived in the house. The family consisted of a husband, a wife, and their two children. The husband was a successful businessman who worked long hours, and the wife stayed at home to take care of their children.

One day, tragedy struck the family. The husband was killed in a car accident on his way home from work. The wife was devastated by the loss of her husband, and she became obsessed with the idea of bringing him back from the dead. She spent all her time and money on trying to find a way to resurrect her husband. However, her efforts were in vain, and she eventually died of a broken heart.

After the death of the wife, the house became abandoned. It was said that the house was haunted by the ghosts of the family. Some people claimed to have seen the ghostly figures of the husband and wife walking through the halls of the house, while others reported hearing the sound of children's laughter coming from the empty rooms.

One day, a young couple, John and Sarah, decided to buy the old house on Pine Street. They were thrilled at the idea of restoring the old house to its former glory. They were warned by the locals that the house was haunted, but they didn't believe in ghosts.

John and Sarah started working on the house. They painted the walls, fixed the floors, and even put in new windows. They were making great progress, but strange things started happening. They would hear footsteps in the middle of the night, doors would open and close on their own, and objects would move by themselves.

At first, John and Sarah tried to rationalize the strange occurrences. They thought it was just the old house settling or the wind blowing through the windows. However, as the occurrences became more frequent and more intense, they began to realize that there was something more sinister at play.

One night, John woke up to find himself floating above his bed. He looked around the room and saw the ghostly figure of the husband standing at the foot of the bed. The husband looked angry and vengeful, and John knew that he was not welcome in the house.

John and Sarah tried to leave the house, but they found that they were trapped. The doors and windows wouldn't open, and they were unable to call for help. They were stuck in the house with the vengeful ghosts of the family.

As the days passed, John and Sarah became more and more afraid. They could hear the ghosts whispering their names, and they could feel their cold breath on their necks. They knew that they were running out of time.

One night, as they were lying in bed, they heard a loud noise coming from the attic. They decided to investigate, and they climbed the stairs to the attic. When they got to the top of the stairs, they saw the ghostly figure of the wife sitting in a rocking chair. She was holding a book in her lap, and she was staring at them with empty eyes.

John and Sarah were terrified, but they knew that they had to face their fears. They walked towards the wife and asked her what she wanted. The wife told them that she wanted revenge. She blamed John and Sarah for trying to change the house, and she wanted them to suffer as she had suffered.

John and Sarah tried to reason with the wife, but she was too consumed by her anger and hatred. She summoned the ghosts of her husband and children, and they attacked John
