Don't ever go inside a haunted house…

Sarah did not want to go inside of the house. She heard so many stories about what happened inside of that house. People were murdered in the most horrific ways inside, with no explanation. The bodies were discovered in pieces, and they never caught who did it. The worst part, is that the bodies were revealed to have been chewed up. Like some sort of animal had attacked them. And it terrified Sarah to death.

And Sara was pissed that her best friend, Natasha, and her boyfriend, Jake, wanted to go inside.

"Why do you guys want to do something so stupid? Don't you know the history to this house?"

Natasha giggled. "Oh come on, Sara. They are dead. The murders took place like…sixty years ago."

"That's still fucked up, Nat. Going inside of a house where people were literally murdered is beyond disrespectful."

"Don't you live in a haunted house yourself, Sara?," Jake chimed in.

"I thought I heard something in my house, and I freaked out. That doesn't mean that it's haunted, dumbass."

"Hey, don't call Jake a dumbass. Only I can call him that."

Jake kissed Natasha on the head. "That's right, babe."

Sarah rolled her eyes.

"I'm just going to stay out here. Good luck."

Natasha shrugged. "Your funeral."

Sarah watched the two of them walk inside hand in hand, the door making a loud creaking noise as they entered the house. Sarah rubbed her hands along her arms, feeling cold in her ballerina costume. She wished she hadn't come along with her friend and her boyfriend on Halloween. She wasn't huge on trick or treating anymore, since she was now in high school.

She wanted to stay home with her parents and give out candy.

But every time Natasha called you up, it was hard to resist her. She had always been so stubborn.

Sarah could barely hear her friends inside. They were laughing, and she could see faint glimpses of their flashlights from several windows of the house. She heard a ping from her phone and took it out of her candy bag.

Nat: Girl, you need to come inside. There's something weird behind one of the bedrooms. Jake is trying to get it open.

Sarah replied:

Sarah: NOOO.

Nat: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP OF ME?

Sarah let out a groan. She put her phone back in her candy bag, and began to step toward the house, and froze when she heard a scream cut through the air. She looked around, wondering if someone was playing some sort of prank on her. Then she realized it was coming from inside the house. It was Jake's scream. Natasha started to scream next.

"JAKE! NATASHA!"

Sarah attempted to run inside, but then she saw something that made her heart stop. It didn't feel real. Something pink and huge crawled across the floor, but it looked so much bigger. From the doorway, Sarah could see something crawling up the stairs. And it was trying to drag Natasha into its mouth.

Sarah did what any normal person would do.

She ran away.

She booked it out of there, and did not stop running. She called the police once she reached one of the neighborhoods. On Halloween night, police swarmed the murder house. Sarah lost her mind when she learned that Natasha and Jake were found in pieces.

Her parents comforted her as she continued to scream.

The killer would be never found.

Their deaths would forever remain a mystery.

But only Sarah knew the truth.

And she would never reveal it.
