Rose Hall Great House

White witch of Montego Bay

The impressive Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay seems to be haunted by a woman named Annie Plamer who has been honored as the White Witch. She was an evil woman who tortured and killed slaves in the basement of her house, Rose Hall.

Annie it seems was not only killing her slaves but she managed to also get rid of three husbands. The evil White Witch finally met with death herself at the hands of one of her jilted ex-lover slaves. As she discovered you cannot torture and kill the ones you profess to love.

Unfortunately, the voodoo ritual that was supposed to seal Annie in her grave was not completed and even centuries after she met her demise her ghost roams the halls of the plantation house. Visitors have claimed to have seen ghostly white figures during the night and screams have been heard over the bay. If you're into ghost hunting come meet the White Witch and see if you can put her to rest.

Chase Crypt

Coffins that don't stay buried

The eerie Chase Crypt in Barbados is located in the Christ Church Cemetery. It belongs to Colonel Thomas Chase and his two daughters. This half-buried tomb was purchased by the Chase family in 1724.

After the unfortunate deaths of the Colonel and his daughters, a heavy marble slab was fitted into place at the front door of their final resting place. When a burial team removed the slab they found that the coffins had been thrashed arounn the room and were standing propped up against the wall of the crypt.

No one could find any signs of tampering either in the tomb or on the slab. So the coffins were reburied and sand was thrown all over the floor. When the tomb was opened years later upon the sand there were no footprints but the coffins once again stood propped up against the wall of the crypt.

Chacachacare is the scariest and most haunted place in Trinidad. At one time this was a former leper colony. In the 1800s and 1900s, nuns looked after a colony of lepers who had been banished to the island. For years this was a place of death and suicide.

Colon Cemetery

The tomb of La Milagrosa

The Colon Cemetery in Cuba is a very haunted place. According to the story in the early 20th century Amelia Goyin died in childbirth and soon after so did her baby. According to tradition, the baby had to be buried at Amelia's feet.

Many years afterwards the grave was exhumed to make room for her loving husband. At this time it was discovered that Amelia's remains were perfectly preserved and she was cradling her baby. Her tomb has become one of the most revered sites in Cuba. She is named La Milagrosa, a popular saint not governed by any institution neither political nor religious. Those who visit daily make requests to the "Miraculous of Cuba."
