Constructed during the 20th century, Yagiyama Bridge is located within the city of hills, Yagiyama. It is part of Sendai, which is in the north-eastern region of Japan. The bridge was built with the intention of improving the transportation between Sendai and the remote parts of Yagiyama, but eventually turned out to be a useful thoroughfare for the townspeople, learners, and tourists. Wonderously, the area is rich in cultural, historical, and biological sites which include, Yagiyama Zoological Park, and Aoba Castle.

The bridge has been regarded with great suspicion, and even local folklore suggests it is possessed. Numerous attempts of it being cursed has plagued the bridge because along the years sevaral number of unfortunate fatalities have been recorded. Plummetting from the Yagiyama bridge has taken the lives of many due to the height and it has being a sight of suicide. These record suggest that throughout the decades, the bridge has been known for aloof abatement acts, severely deteriorating the mental well-being of residents.

Sendai is now poularly firmed as one of the most haunted places in Japan and Yagiyama Bridge is known for having spirits traverse around it during the night while the people traverse under in search of the ghostly figures and spirits.

This is an account where a person seems to get apparition of a woman dressed in white on the Yagiyama Bridge. From the accounts of the people, they say that this figure can be seen walking or standing completely still in the middle of the bridge. The driver's accounts are that when they try to approach this spirit, it disappears in thin air. Some say that this spirit they are referring to, is the ghost of a white dress woman who jumped off the Yagiyama bridge to take her own life. Legend says, that she wanders the area to this day.

Similar to the first account, passersby on the bridge late at night have also said that they can hear soft but annoying whispers along with sobs that fade in and out. These voices seem to come from the sides of the bridge and some have described hearing soft sobs only to turn around and see nothing. Some accounts suggest that these voices are of the restless souls who are drowned or trapped in the vicinity of the bridge.

Those who have walked the Yagiyama Bridge in the evening have reported feelings of sudden chills unexplained in nature, even on warmer nights. These chills frequently arrive with prolonged sorrow and dread, like an unseen loiterer is observing them. Dreadfully, many have experienced light caressing sensations on their selves, even when being solo in an enclosed setting.
