The Forgotten Room

The Haunting of Pine Grove House

By EzycossPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

It was a cold and eerie evening in the small town of Pine Grove. Sarah had just moved into her new house, a quaint little Victorian-style home with a charm that was hard to resist. However, as she stepped into the house, an unnerving feeling crept up her spine. She tried to shake it off and focused on unpacking her belongings. As the night progressed, Sarah couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching her.

That night, Sarah's sleep was restless, plagued by haunting dreams of an old woman with piercing eyes staring at her from a dark corner of the room. She woke up with a start, shivering with fear. As she opened her eyes, she noticed something unusual in the room. The wardrobe in the corner of the room had a keyhole that she hadn't noticed before.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Sarah got out of bed and walked towards the wardrobe. She tried the keyhole, but the lock was jammed. With a little force, she managed to open the door and discovered a small room inside, that she hadn't noticed before. The room was bare, except for an old rocking chair in the corner.

Sarah was hesitant to explore the room any further, but the curiosity was overwhelming. She walked closer to the chair and noticed that it was moving, as if someone was sitting in it. The creaking of the chair echoed through the empty room, sending shivers down Sarah's spine.

Suddenly, the chair stopped moving, and a chilling voice spoke, "You shouldn't have come here." Sarah tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move. The voice spoke again, "You'll never leave this place alive."

Sarah tried to scream, but her voice was silenced. She felt a cold hand on her shoulder, and a cold breath on the back of her neck. She turned around, but no one was there. The room was empty, and the door was closed.

Sarah ran out of the room, and as she shut the wardrobe door, she heard a faint voice whisper, "I'll be waiting for you."

The next morning, Sarah tried to forget the events of the night before. However, the feeling of unease lingered on, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She tried to go about her day as usual, but every time she passed the wardrobe, she felt a strange pull towards it.

As the night approached, Sarah was terrified to go to sleep. She knew that something was wrong with the house. She tried to stay awake, but her eyelids grew heavy, and she fell asleep.

The next morning, Sarah woke up to find that the wardrobe door was open, and the forgotten room was in disarray. The rocking chair was now facing her bed, and the door was ajar. Sarah tried to ignore it and went about her day, but the feeling of dread only grew stronger.

That night, Sarah heard the creaking of the rocking chair again. She knew that something was wrong, and she had to do something about it. She got out of bed and walked towards the wardrobe, determined to find out the truth.

As she opened the door, she was greeted by a sight that would haunt her for the rest of her life. The room was now filled with old, musty furniture, and there was a figure sitting in the rocking chair. It was an old woman, with piercing eyes that seemed to stare right through Sarah.

The woman spoke, "I've been waiting for you, Sarah. You're the chosen one."

Sarah tried to run, but the old woman's voice seemed to echo through the entire house. "You can't escape, Sarah. You're mine now."

As Sarah ran towards...
