The Forgotten Graveyard
Remember what is forbidden and why is it forbidden
The small town of Ravenwood was known for its rich history and unique architecture, but there was one place that was hidden from the public's eye - the forgotten graveyard. Tucked away in the woods just outside of town, the graveyard was filled with the graves of the town's earliest settlers. The townspeople had long forgotten about it, but they should have remembered the warning that had been passed down through generations: never enter the forgotten graveyard after dark.
One summer evening, a group of friends, Mike, Sarah, Tim, and Kelly, decided to explore the forgotten graveyard. They had heard the stories about the graveyard and were eager to see if they were true. As they made their way through the woods, they could feel the hairs on the back of their necks stand up. The closer they got to the graveyard, the more uneasy they became.
As they entered the graveyard, they were immediately overcome with a sense of dread. The air was thick with an eerie silence, and the moonlight cast long shadows on the gravestones. They walked deeper into the graveyard, and the feeling of unease only grew stronger. Suddenly, they heard a sound that made their hearts skip a beat - a low, guttural growl that seemed to be coming from the darkness ahead.
The group stopped dead in their tracks and tried to listen for any other sounds. But all they could hear was their own breathing and the sound of their hearts pounding in their chests. Just as they were about to turn around and run back to town, they heard another sound - this time, it was a faint whisper that seemed to be coming from behind one of the gravestones.
The group approached the gravestone cautiously and read the name inscribed on it - it belonged to one of the town's earliest settlers, John Smith. As they got closer, they realized that the whisper was coming from inside the gravestone. They hesitated for a moment, but their curiosity got the best of them, and they decided to investigate further.
They pushed aside the heavy stone lid of the gravestone and peered inside. What they saw made their blood run cold - the inside of the gravestone was filled with bones and cobwebs, and a faint glow emanated from within. As they looked closer, they realized that the glow was coming from a pair of eyes that were staring back at them.
The eyes belonged to the ghost of John Smith, and he was not happy about being disturbed. The ghost had been awakened from his slumber, and he was looking for revenge. He had been buried in the forgotten graveyard because the townspeople feared him in life, and they hoped that he would remain forgotten in death.
But now that he had been disturbed, he was out for blood. The ghost chased the group through the graveyard, and they were forced to split up to avoid being caught. Mike and Sarah managed to make it out of the graveyard alive, but Tim and Kelly were not so lucky.
Their screams echoed through the woods, and the townspeople who had long forgotten about the graveyard were reminded of the warning that had been passed down through generations. They knew that they could never forget about the forgotten graveyard again, or the vengeful ghost that lurked within its walls.
Years passed, and the incident at the forgotten graveyard became a cautionary tale that parents told their children at bedtime. The graveyard remained undisturbed, and the ghost of John Smith seemed to have returned to his slumber. But every once in a while, on a dark and quiet night, the townspeople would hear a low, guttural growl coming from the woods, and they knew that the ghost of John Smith was still watching over his forgotten graveyard, waiting for someone foolish enough to disturb his eternal rest.
