The Eerie Incident in Sawali Hospital's Ward

It was 2 AM. A deep silence hung over the third floor of Sawali Hospital, just outside the ICU. The only sounds in the ward were the rhythmic beep... beep... beep of the machines. Nurse Seema and ward boy Rohan were on duty. Seema was making her rounds, while Rohan was organizing medical records.

Seema's attention suddenly shifted to Bed No. 13. The patient lying there was motionless, but his heart rate was abnormally high. Sweat beads had formed on his forehead, and his face showed a strange expression of distress—almost as if he were experiencing something horrifying in his sleep.

"Rohan, give me this patient’s file," Seema requested.

Rohan sifted through the stack of documents and pulled out a yellowed, old file.

"Madam... this patient... something is very strange about him," Rohan murmured hesitantly.

Seema opened the file. The patient's name was Suresh Kulkarni, aged 48. He had been admitted three days ago after a bizarre accident. There were no significant external injuries, but his mental state was highly unstable. He constantly muttered about someone’s presence.

"He's looking for me... He's coming... He's already here..."

Seema moved closer to his bed. At that moment, Suresh suddenly started trembling. His lips parted, and he mumbled something unintelligible.

"He has awakened... He won’t let go... He... He... He..."

A chill ran down Seema’s spine. She instinctively stepped back. Rohan, now frightened, hurriedly shut the file.

Suddenly, the lights in the ward flickered dimly, and an eerie chill spread through the air. A faint scratching sound echoed from the window glass, as if something—or someone—was clawing at it.

Rohan turned around, startled, but there was no one there.

Just then, Suresh’s body convulsed violently. His voice had changed. It was now deep, hoarse, and unnatural. A terrifying grin stretched across his face.

"I will not go alone... The time has come... You will all come with me..."

His words were so menacing that Seema tried to step further back, but her legs felt frozen in place. A creeping dread filled her mind.

Rohan suddenly screamed.

"Madam... Something is moving under the bed!"

Seema, with trembling hands, bent down to look. From the deep shadows beneath the bed, an unclear shape was emerging. It was blurry but had glowing, blood-red eyes.

"He is here..." Suresh shrieked, and at that very moment, the shadow let out a chilling laugh—in his own voice.

The next second, the entire ward was plunged into darkness.

Darkness and the Shadow

Seema rubbed her eyes in fear, but she couldn’t see anything. Only an eerie whispering sound filled the silence. Suddenly, a strong, pungent smell hit her—like burning wood and old, rotting flesh.

From one corner of the room, a glowing red figure started to appear. Its clothes were torn, hair was wild and disheveled, and its eyes radiated a cruel, inhuman hunger.

"You saved him... Now take his place!" the figure shrieked.

Seema turned to look behind her. Rohan had collapsed on the floor, his face frozen in sheer terror.

Suresh, however, was completely still. His expression was eerily peaceful, his eyes wide open but hollow—as if something had left his body.

And in that moment, a sinister, bone-chilling laughter echoed through Ward No. 13.

The Next Morning...

Dr. Patil arrived for his morning rounds. A tense silence filled the ICU ward. The entire medical staff had gathered in one place.

"What happened?" Dr. Patil asked.

Seema, still shaken from the night’s horror, held only Suresh’s file in her hands.

"Doctor... Suresh Kulkarni... is dead."

Dr. Patil looked at her, shocked.

"But... something unnatural happened last night, Doctor. There was something under the bed... No—inside the bed!" Her voice trembled.

Dr. Patil ordered the ward boys to clear out Bed No. 13. As they lifted the mattress and looked underneath, his face turned pale.

Because… something was scratched into the wood—

"I WILL RETURN..."

From that day onward, Ward No. 13 on the third floor of Sawali Hospital was permanently sealed off.

But...

Even today, during the late hours of the night, a faint tapping sound can be heard on the locked ward’s windows.

If a nurse or ward boy happens to walk past that corridor, they sometimes hear a soft whisper—

"I will not go alone..."

And if anyone dares to look in that direction...

All they see is a shadow.
