It was a dark and stormy night, and Sarah was walking home from her job at the diner. She had always felt a little uneasy walking alone at night, but tonight was different. As she walked, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. Every time she turned around, there was nobody there.

Sarah tried to reassure herself that it was just her imagination. But the feeling persisted, and she quickened her pace, her heart pounding in her chest.

As she turned a corner, she saw a figure standing in the middle of the street. It was too dark to make out any features, but she could tell it was a person. Her heart raced even faster, and she considered turning back the way she came. But that would mean walking back through the deserted streets she had just come from.

The figure didn't move, and Sarah hesitated for a moment before slowly walking towards it. As she got closer, she could see that it was a man, and he was holding something in his hand. It was too dark to tell what it was.

"Excuse me," she called out, trying to sound confident. "Are you okay?"

The man didn't answer, but as she got closer, she could see that he was wearing a black hooded cloak. His face was obscured by the shadows, and she couldn't make out any features.

Sarah felt a shiver run down her spine, but she continued walking towards him. As she got closer, she saw that he was holding a large knife. Her heart leapt into her throat, and she tried to back away, but he stepped forward and grabbed her arm.

"Please," she begged, trying to pull away. "Please let me go."

The man didn't say anything, but his grip tightened. Sarah struggled, but she couldn't break free. She was sure she was going to die.

But then, suddenly, the man let go and ran off into the night, disappearing into the shadows.

Sarah stumbled backwards, her heart pounding in her chest. She looked down at her arm and saw that there were bruises where he had grabbed her. She was lucky to be alive.

She started running, her feet pounding on the pavement. She didn't stop until she reached her apartment building, and even then she had to stop and catch her breath.

As she unlocked the door to her apartment, Sarah felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was safe now, and the man was gone. But the feeling didn't last long.

As she walked into her apartment, she noticed that something was off. The door was slightly ajar, and there was a strange smell in the air. She hesitated for a moment before stepping inside.

The apartment was dark, and Sarah couldn't see anything. She tried to turn on the lights, but they wouldn't come on. She started to feel her way around the room, trying to find a lamp or something to illuminate the space.

But then she heard a sound. It was a low, guttural growl, and it was coming from the darkness in front of her. Sarah froze, her heart racing as the growling got louder and louder.

Suddenly, a pair of glowing eyes appeared in the darkness. They were red and piercing, and they seemed to be staring right at her. Sarah backed away, her eyes fixed on the glowing orbs.

But then, something emerged from the darkness. It was a creature, with long, sharp teeth and claws like knives. Sarah screamed and tried to run, but the creature was too fast.

It lunged at her, and she felt its teeth sink into her flesh. She screamed again, louder this time, as the creature tore at her skin.

And then, everything went black
