I was having a decent dream, considering, until I felt something kick into my shoe. “Wake up!” a voice angrily demanded. I always hated getting woken up as a kid, especially for school. My vision started to fade in. There were six people with masks standing around me with different looking weapons in their hands. "Well now... What do we have here?" the stranger questioned with a devilish smile. I jolted backwards into a fetal position, still sitting in the dirt. I swear I recognized that voice from somewhere, "what do you want...?" I nervously replied. “Oh nothing, just thought I would check in and see how you’re doing these days” he said as he grinned at me “you know, since all the bullshit that went down a few years ago”. I look over to see where Damien was, but he was not there. I looked back at the man staring at me and asked furiously, "what did you do with him?" The stranger answered as he took the mask off, "oh nothing... just something I should have done a long time ago". Horrible thoughts filled my head as a sense of panic and anxiety started taking over my body. I never thought I would ever see my ex, Tyson, again.
A rush of anger and adrenaline coursed through my veins as I stood up, "where is he?" I asked sternly as I stepped forward and got in his face. His best friends Axel and Bryan raised their guns in my direction. Tyson looked at me with a smirk, raised his hand and said, “it’s okay, she’s no threat… she doesn’t scare me”. He saw the fear in my eyes, but knew I was not going to go down without a fight. "Oh, so you think you're brave now?", Tyson ominously questioned. He raised his hand again and signaled. From out of the darkness of the woods, Tyson’s other friend Mike walked out dragging Damien by his left arm. He was gagged and his hands were zip tied behind his back. Mike shoved Damien to the ground in front of him, "what do you want to do boss?”, he asked while lifting Damien back up to his knees by the back of his shirt. My ex replied, "let's have some fun... bring him here". The thought of what was going to happen next was worrying me. Mike grabbed Damien by the arm again and shoved him towards Tyson with a sinister look on his face. He glared eerily at me, as if he liked what he saw. It made my skin crawl and my stomach turn so much, I wanted to puke. Tyson kicked the back of Damien’s right knee, and he collapsed, "Hmm, what to do, what to do... boys?" he asked his group. "Kill him!" Axel cheerfully yelled. Tyson replied menacingly, "but where is the fun in that?... sounds too quick and painless for my taste". He slowly walked towards me with that devilish smile I always hated so much, I knew he was up to something. “Well, well… don’t you smell good” Tyson announced as he circled me, slowly ran his hand through my hair and smelt it as it fell out of his hand.
The hair on the back of my neck stood on end, and old memories of all the times he hurt me rushed through my mind. I swung my arm backwards in hopes it would knock him off his feet, even just a little bit, but he was faster. Tyson grabbed a hold of my arm, and squeezed it so tight, I thought my arm was going to break. I tried to fight back but he was too strong. He twisted my arm around, pinned me up against a tree and started running his other hand all over my body. I felt disgusted, violated and completely helpless. "Oh, how I have missed you..." he whispered in my ear as his hand slowly crept up my thigh. I struggled and struggled to break free of this nightmare I lived previously. No matter how hard I tried, I was not going anywhere. I looked over at Damien who was staring intensively. “Get your filthy hands off me!” I yelled in frustration as I struggled to break free of Tyson’s intense grip he had on my wrists. Tyson spun me around, leaned in, and began kissing my neck leading down to my chest. Damien called to him, "hey asshole!". Tyson sighed, "what do you want shit brain?”, he replied with attitude, “can't you see I'm a little busy here with my girl". Damien snickered, “she’s not your girl anymore, or did you forget? She’s with a real man now”. Tyson angrily took a deep breath and looked directly at Damien, still zip tied on his knees. While Damien had him distracted, I had to think of something, and it had to be quick. I thrusted my head forward and it hit Tyson’s temple on the left side of his head. Too bad it did not do as much damage as I had hoped. I always knew he had a thick skull. “Ah! You bitch!” Tyson yelled as he let go of me and put his hand over the left side of his head. He looked up at me with those eyes, those crazy filled eyes that always tormented and haunted me. My eyes widened. Tyson put his hand around my neck and pushed me against the tree once more, but this time he lifted me off the ground. As he pulled back his arm to throw a punch, all we heard was Damien giggling to himself. Tyson dropped me to the ground, "what the fuck is so funny?", he asked in a puzzled yet malicious tone. I leaned against the tree holding my throat and began coughing. Tyson stomped toward Damien in a fit of rage, "Are you deaf!? I said... what the fuck is so funny!?", Tyson yelled impatiently as he grabbed the scruff of Damien’s shirt. Damien looked up at him dead in the eyes and said, "You touch her again... You better hope I'm dead". As I continued to cough and tried catching my breath, I took a couple step towards Tyson. Next thing I know, I am laying on the ground, my head hurt, and my vision was fading. There was a sound of some sort of struggle accompanied with yelling. I reached out my hand towards Damien, but before I knew it, everything went black. As I slowly came to, I opened my eyes and my vision had returned to normal. It was now daylight, and the world was quiet. No sirens, no gun shots and no screaming. Nothing but birds chirping as they flew through the sky, and branch to branch through the trees. Confused on what happened, I tried to stand up, but I was too weak. "What the hell happened?", I quietly asked myself as I put my hand on the back of my head, I had the biggest headache of my life.
Suddenly, I remembered what happened, who was there. I looked around frantically, but Damien was nowhere in sight. I attempted to stand; it was a struggle, but I managed to get up onto my feet. “Damien!”, I called out, but all I heard was my echo in return. I was in the woods alone with nothing on me but torn clothes and his necklace. It was in the dirt where I saw Damien last, before I was knocked unconscious. However, I was not as alone as I had hoped.
