It was exactly midnight. Raj stood alone under the ancient banyan tree at the edge of Tamalpur village. He knew the place was cursed, but curiosity had pulled him here.
A few days ago, old Manju Chacha had warned him—
"Son, don’t go near that tree after dusk! Two of your friends went there and never returned!"
Raj had laughed. He never believed in ghosts. Tonight, he had come to prove the stories were false.
But suddenly, the wind stopped. Everything fell eerily silent. The tree’s branches swayed unnaturally, as if whispering something. A chill ran down Raj’s spine.
Right in front of him, a dark shadow started to take shape. Two burning eyes stared at him!
Raj froze. He wanted to run, but his legs wouldn’t move!
The shadow crept closer and whispered—
"You don’t know me, but I know you..."
A hideous laughter echoed through the air. Raj’s vision blurred, and he collapsed.
The next morning, villagers found him unconscious beneath the banyan tree. Deep claw marks covered his body! As he slowly opened his eyes, something had changed within him.
He uttered just one sentence—
"They are coming... tonight!"

This is a short story, but it is amazing. Raj's insistence on going there and then the strange and supernatural incident that happened to him—amazing!
