Chapter One: The Secret Mark

Today is the big day. It is Phoenix's 18th Birthday. Little does he know this the day his whole life changes. As his mother, Winter Brooke, is known for her beauty and wits, Ms. Brooke is smart, loving, and caring but resilient and impulsive, willing to do anything to protect her family's name. Gets ready to walk into her sons' room with his special cake and her particular song.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, dear Phoenix, happy Birthday to you, my darling! (holding the cake)

(Winter sings off-key laughing as she sees her sons naked butt drying off after a shower she chuckles)

(Phoenix startled yells at his mom first for being caught off guard while changing after getting out the shower and second for singing off-key)

MOM! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? IM CHANGING AND YOUR OFF-KEY STOP PLEASE! GET OUT SO I CAN GET DRESSED!!

Oh, darling, I have seen it all (she chuckles). Remember how I use to have to chase you around the house to even get on clothes, let alone a single draper when you were a baby? I remember the maids seeing your bare bottom running down the hallways, just smiling and laughing. Oh, how time has passed (she gets lost in the memories of Phoenix growing up)

MOM! GET OUT! (Phoenix Yells)

Fine, I'm going but hurry! I got you something impressive downstairs, and I think you're going to love it, so you better slap on them clothes quick.

MOM! OUT NOW! (pointing to the door Phoenix Yells again)

Fine, I'm gone (she smirks)

(But before she leaves, she notices a mark on Phoenix's back she grasps and hurries out his room)

"Please not today, please don't let it be today he doesn't deserve this," Says Winter with tears nearly falling down her face, but she stops as she hears a familiar voice that sounds like her oldest son Castle.

Mister playboy himself Castle Brooke phoenix's older obnoxious brother who is known for his actions of being Ruthless, Sensitive and kind of an asshole but with a heart if he likes you enough. He recently landed American's playboy of the year as he is the newest bachelor on the scene, especially with his latest hit T.V. show Castle Brooke: Finds Love or Does he? and the ladies are already eating it up.

Mom? Mom? Where are you? I have a surprise for you.

(Winter walks downstairs only to see a face she thought she never thought she would've seen on today actually ever)

It is was her daughter, the oldest of the Brooke Children, Ms. Dagny Brooke.

Dagny Brooke a spitting image of her mother, but the two despise each other as Dagny never wanted Fame and Fortune but to live an everyday life having kids and a husband or wife retiring her author days and living out the rest with her family. Dagny is the rebel in the family, brave, strong, and courageous as she and Phoenix are the closest out of the dysfunctional family they have.

Hello, Mother (Looks around at the house as it hasn't changed a bit)

Dagny? Wasn't expecting you today still spreading lies on your family? (Looks at her daughter up and down)

Oh, mother, I see you're still a Bit-

(footsteps running quick and a voice she was happy to hear)

(Before she gets the rest out, she sees her baby brother run down the stairs excited to see his big sis)

Dagny! Omg, what are you doing here? (Phoenix fast down the stairs hugs his Big Sister)

Hey, kiddo! (Dagny smiles and hugs him back while eyeing her mother)

What are you doing here? I thought you were still doing your book tour. Hey, I got your copy. Am I really your favorite out of our whole family (Phoenix smiling hard, happy to see his big sister)

I ended it early, so I figured ill come see my baby bro for his Birthday, and of course, you think my favorite would be Castle Ha! That idiot castle is funny, but he has nothing on you, and mom is mom and uncle Luke. Let's not talk about him and the rest of this family your normal Phoenix, a ball of light in this crazy dysfunctional family, but wow, eight teen I remember when you were brought home, you were so quiet like you were observing everything around you. (smiling at Phoenix)

Ugh, here you go with the baby stories like mom did this morning as she walked in on me naked (annoyed)

Really? Naked huh?

(Castle laughs) I am pretty sure there wasn't much to see

(Winters corrects him)

Castle! Ugh, that mouth of yours needs cleaning.

(Phoenix & Castle eye each as Phoenix continues to talk to Dagny about his mother off keying singing)

Yes, she came in with a cake and singing an off-key version of Happy Birthday. After I told her to leave, I noticed something on my back in the mirror, a mark of some sort it hurts I think I got it when playing flag football with Storm and the boys; I put some icy hot on it excuse the smell of peppermints (laughs)

(Dagny looks at her brother. Her eyes almost turn watery, and the look on her face looks devastated)

Kid (she sighs) there is something you should – (Dagny says, her voice shaky)

(Winter cuts her off before Dagny says anything else while eyeing her)

Phoenix! The gift I need to give it to you before the party starts. I searched all night and day for it. You have other gifts coming but, I know this one will be special

(she grabs the black box with the red bow on top of the dining room table)

(She hands it to her excited son, thinking it's finally the PlayStation 5 with the V.R. set. He grabs the box and sits down at the table, opening it)

The look on his face says it all "a black book?" he says, wow, thanks, mom lamest gift ever

(Castle and Dagny lock eyes looking nervous Castle sips his drink)

(Winter laughs and looks at her son) well, I guess you wouldn't like your fathers Book

(Phoenix eyes light up) this is it? This is dads' Book. This is the "Book of Brooke," the famous stories of our ancestors the manifestations they wrote. This is it? Mom, I thought you said it burned in the fire with him? Staring at this Book, it looks good as new.

Well, honey, I didn't tell you about the Book because your father said to me that on your 18th Birthday, he wanted you to have it no later, no earlier than that, so I followed his wish, my love.

Thanks, mom. (Phoenix hugs her)

You're welcome, my little bird. (she hugs him back)

Wait, there is something else in the box. Wait, is that omg, it's a never mind it's a feather!

Chapter Two: Little bird

It is Phoenix's 18th Birthday. He gets a visit from his mother while he is changing. She discovers a mark on his back. That strikes her nerves, and she is scared later to find out that the oldest Brooke has arrived in town, Dagny Brooke, the rebel of the family, and her younger brother Castle Brooke playboy himself. The two almost argue as Phoenix interrupts to see his big sister he hasn't seen in a long time and chat with her during the chat. Phoenix tells her of a mark he discovered this morning on his back. She looks at him, devastated, and wants to tell him something. Still, she is cut off by her mother as she gives Phoenix the gift she talks to him about during the naked incident this morning. Long behold, it's the "Black Book Of Brooke" Their Family book that belonged to their father, which was believed to have burned in the incident but just kept away as he thanks his mother he sees something in the box which is a feather that spooks everyone.

Why are the feathers red and black mother? What trick is this? (Phoenix looks at Winter)

I don't know, honey. It may have flown in there when I was wrapping it. (Winter looks over at Dagny and Castle, Nervous)

Why don't you get ready for the party? I had Stanley put your suit out.

(Looks annoyed) Do I have to wear the suit, mom?

Yes, Phoenix, now we discussed this. We agreed that I'll pick the first outfit out, and you can choose the rest.

Fine, I'm changing as soon as everyone gets here, ugh see you, Dags at the party right and you to castle. Thanks for being here, guys. I feel that dad is smiling at us, happy to see us all together again.

(Dagny smiles) No problem, kiddo. See you soon

(Castle laughs) hey, anything for you, my little baby bastard bro (as he slips another drink)

(Dagny looks at him and laughs a little as he is facing towards the front door and Phoenix is on the stairs)

(Winter hands go in her face)

(Phoenix laughs and goes upstairs)

"What the hell, winter why would you give him that book," Dagny says

"Would you keep your voice down? He'll hear you," says Winter

(Dagny looking pissed) Maybe he does need to hear me… how is that possible? That Book was burned to a crisp dad made sure of it.

(looks nervous) I know, and it was, but then it wasn't

(Annoyed) What do you mean? It was burned, then it wasn't are telling me that thing is still alive? After all, we have been through after what we lost! What it did to dad to us as a whole what the hell is wrong with you…

Watch your tone! Dagny, while you were off spreading lies on this family, I had to do what I had to do to keep the Brooke name strong. We all wrote in that Book except for Phoenix we all wrote our own wants in the damn Book, and so help me –

(Dagny cuts Winter)

Don't do that…you know why I left. And I didn't want to sign that Book anyway I was a kid who was just listening to what her mother said, do remember, "you have to do whatever takes for family" remember that, mom? Huh? Or has all the fame and fortune got to your head… I don't care if it has. I am not letting that thing get a hold of him like it did me.

(Winter silence as she listens to her daughter's rant, she snaps out and says the secret she been hiding from all her kids)

Dagny, your father he is… Alive (she grabs a sit)

(Castle drops his glass)

Castle! Language (Winter says)

(Castle and Dagny) WHAT?

ARE YOU SAYING WHAT I THINK YOUR SAYING? (CASTLE SAYS)

No, that can't be possible. I saw him die. I saw that thing kill him (Dagny lost for words)

I thought so too, but weeks later, after that night, the police came by and dropped the Book off, saying they found it in the ruble mildly burned. Still, the pages were half-burned. It was odd because it didn't seem to catch fire at all, so I went to throw the Book in the fireplace after the policemen left, and he appeared. I dropped the Book and almost fainted. He just stood there and smiled at me.

I didn't know what to say. I just froze like death crept on my shoulder and whispered it was my time just froze so he couldn't hear me breathe

Until he spoke and told me he loved you guys (crying, stumbling on her words) and me

I-I-I couldn't get out the big question of how is he here? But he knew what he said in the Book and told me that Phoenix is the key to the end of all of this. By his 18th Birthday, he should defeat the Book as he is connected to it somehow. He informed me the mark on his back is the connection to the Book the mark of Brooke the mark of his death. Your father told me that Book knows that Phoenix can end its rath. There is something else he said he wanted to say to me but didn't know how to tell me then he went away… so yes, I have to prepare my son on his Birthday to face an ancient evil I set free…

"Wow, that was a lot. I need another drink for this," Castle Says.

So, you're just telling us that dad is stuck in the Book somehow after he and the Book burned in the house? (Winter looks confused)

Why now? Winter why tells us all of a sudden (Winter anxious and annoyed with her mother)

Because when Phoenix defeats the Book, we all die

What? (Castle says)

What the fuck, mom? Why would you not tell us this? I didn't even get to film season 2 of "Castle finding love or does he?" yet wait, mom, the ladies (Castle sits down)

What the fuck is wrong with you? We were just told that we will die if Phoenix defeats the Book, and all you care about is some fucking show! (Dagny says to her brother)

Well, who pissed you off (Castle says)?

What the fuc- you know what never mind it's not worth the stress why the look winter this what you wanted right all for the family right?

Dagny, stop, please, because that's not the worst. The worst part is if Phoenix can't beat the Book, then we have to kill him.

What? Your joking, right? Castle asked, there is no way we have to kill him, right?

We are not I am not going to let that thing get my baby (Winter says)

Now he is your baby (Dagny pissed). You better have a plan because if you don't save him, I will be finishing this once and for all, even if I have to sacrifice myself for the kid. Well, so let's hear the plan, mother.

Ok, your father left clues speaking of a loop that could stop the Book before it even attacks Phoenix. The ritual has to take place at 11:11 tonight. I canceled the party so we are not interrupted, so we have to act fast before Phoenix comes down and notices no one is here.

Ok, let's do this (Castle says)

Let's end this shit once and for all (Dagny says)

(Winter grabs Dagny's hand before they leave out the living room) Hey, Dags, I have to say that I am so sorry for all the pain I caused you… I love you always and forever. You're my firstborn, my baby girl, and I hope you can forgive me one day.

Wow never thought the day would come took Phoenix's death for this to happen. Huh, I love you too, mom. No matter how fucked our family is, I wouldn't trade you guys for the world…

(Winter smiles)

(The two hug, finally having the mother, daughter moment they need Phoenix meanwhile is upstairs checking out his gift until Winter hears her son scream

Chapter Three: The Battle Of Brooke

While the book family is downstairs, Phoenix Brooke is upstairs going over the famous "Black Book of Brooke" and is amazed by all the stories and manifestations of the Book until something happens…

Wow, this is so cool… wait, what is this? Dads journey entry cool

Wait, why does it say, "She lost the baby? This is the second time she really down this time and hurt. I just wish I could replace that emptiness with Phoenix. That's what his name was going to be. I wish you were here, Phoenix. I just wish you were here for us to hold"…

Wait, there is more (Phoenix sees more of the entry his father wrote)

He's alive. How is that possible? It can't be is the legend true this is the blood black blood name the black blood said to whoever owns and holds the Book holds the key to reality, meaning you can have everything you want but for what price?" "It doesn't matter. HE IS ALIVE!! And she is happy we are one big family. Hey, let's add 20,000 to our bank account now."

Wait, why is the baby named after me that my dad said is alive. I'm so confused.

Until he hears a voice stern dark voice calling his name.

"Phoenix… Phoenix… oh my little bird, come back."

Who is there? Who are you?

Well, my little brother may have you grown. I come to take you home.

A shadow emerges from the darkness.

(Phoenix's face is shocked. It's his father)

The book son it's the Book you can use to bring me back. All you have to is write the wish for it

That doesn't make sense. I need to get mom. MOM!!

Phoenix!! Winter yells

She runs upstairs to her son's room to find him gone be the Book on the ground open says he is mine come and get him if you dare…
