The Abandoned Hotel

The Legacy of Death

By Vishal FaustinoPublished 3 years ago 5 min read

It was a warm summer day when Sarah and her friends, Michael and Rachel, decided to embark on an adventure. They had heard rumors about an abandoned hotel located deep in the forest, known for its creepy and mysterious atmosphere. As thrill-seekers, they couldn't resist the temptation to explore the place for themselves.

As they drove down the winding roads, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling of unease that was creeping over her. She couldn't explain why, but something about the place seemed to call out to her. Despite her misgivings, the trio finally arrived at their destination.

The hotel was exactly as they had heard. Its once grand entrance was now overgrown with weeds, and the windows were boarded up. Despite its dilapidated state, it was still a magnificent building, with its Gothic architecture and intricate carvings.

Determined to explore the hotel, the friends stepped over the broken fence and approached the entrance. They pushed open the heavy doors and stepped inside. The musty smell of decay filled their nostrils, and the sound of their footsteps echoed through the empty halls.

As they explored the first floor, they came across a room with a sign that read "Reception." Inside, they found an old ledger book, and Sarah eagerly flipped through the pages. As she did, she came across a name that sent chills down her spine: "Mister X."

Sarah and her friends had heard the legend of Mister X, a notorious serial killer who had taken up residency in the hotel many years ago. It was said that he had murdered countless guests and staff, and that their spirits still haunted the place.

Determined to find out more, the trio ventured deeper into the hotel, but as they did, strange things started to happen. Doors would suddenly slam shut, and they heard the sound of ghostly footsteps following them. Despite their fear, they pressed on, finally coming to a door that led to the basement.

As they descended the stairs, they came across a room that was unlike any they had seen so far. It was filled with artifacts and mementos, including a dusty old diary. Sarah picked it up and began to read.

The diary belonged to a young woman who had worked at the hotel many years ago. She had written about Mister X, how he had terrorized her and the other staff members, and how she had eventually managed to escape. But as Sarah read on, she realized that the woman's story was far from over.

The woman had been pregnant when she fled the hotel, and she had given birth to a child. She had never been able to shake the feeling that Mister X was still after her and her child. And as she wrote her final words, it became clear that Mister X had indeed caught up with her.

Sarah and her friends were horrified by what they had read, and they realized that they needed to get out of the hotel as fast as they could. But as they tried to make their way back to the entrance, they heard a sound that froze them in their tracks. It was the sound of Mister X's laughter.

They turned to run, but as they did, they found themselves face-to-face with the ghostly figure of Mister X. He was a tall, menacing figure, his eyes glowing with an evil light. He reached out a hand to grab them, and Sarah screamed.

And then, just as suddenly, he was gone. The friends stumbled out of the hotel, their hearts pounding with fear. They drove away as fast as they could, vowing never to return to that place again himself. He had once been the hotel's owner, and his obsession with wealth and power had driven him to commit unspeakable acts. He had murdered countless guests and staff, and he had hidden their bodies in the basement.

But his evil deeds had not gone unnoticed. The spirits of his victims had risen up against him, and they had trapped him in the hotel, unable to escape. And now, they were seeking revenge on anyone who entered the hotel.

Sarah and her friends realized that they were in grave danger, and they tried to make their escape. But Mister X was not about to let them go. He began to chase them, his ghostly form growing stronger and more powerful with each step.

In a desperate bid to escape, Sarah and her friends stumbled upon a room that was filled with religious artifacts and symbols. They had heard that spirits could be laid to rest with a blessing, and they frantically searched for something to protect themselves.

As Mister X closed in on them, Sarah found an old Bible, and she began to recite a prayer for protection. And as she did, the room was suddenly bathed in bright light, and Mister X's ghostly form dissipated into nothingness.

Sarah and her friends fled the hotel, their hearts pounding with fear and relief. They drove away as fast as they could, vowing never to return to that place again. And as they left, they felt a sense of peace settle over them, as if the spirits of the hotel had finally been laid to rest.

From that day on, Sarah and her friends never spoke of the abandoned hotel again. But the memory of their experience stayed with them, a haunting reminder of the power of evil and the strength of the human spirit.

However, their peace was short-lived. A few months later, Sarah started to experience strange and disturbing events again. The same nightmares returned, and she heard Mister X's voice taunting her in her head once more.

She couldn't shake the feeling that he was still after her, and she was convinced that he was trying to make her return to the hotel. Despite her friends' protests, she decided to go back and confront Mister X once and for all.

She entered the hotel, her heart pounding with fear, but she was determined to see this through. As she made her way to the basement, she saw Mister X's ghostly form appearing before her, his eyes blazing with anger.

But this time, Sarah was not afraid. She stood her ground, and she told Mister X that she was no longer afraid of him. She recited the same prayer she had used before, and the room was bathed in a bright light once more.

And as the light faded, Mister X's ghostly form dissipated into nothingness, and Sarah felt a sense of peace settle over her. She knew that she had finally laid Mister X's spirit to rest, and she left the hotel, free from his terror forever.

Years went by, and Sarah never spoke of the abandoned hotel again. But the memory of her experience stayed with her, a haunting reminder of the power of evil and the strength of the human spirit.

And to this day, the abandoned hotel remains, its walls still echoing with the spirits of those who lost their lives to Mister X's evil obsession. But those who enter its doors should beware, for the spirits of the dead are always watching, waiting to take their revenge on anyone who dares to disturb their eternal rest.
