Terrifier 3 is a Bloody Time with Shocking Kills and More Backstory to Art the Clown’s Character

Terrifier 3 was one of the few films I was able to watch on opening night. I have to say that while I still prefer the sequel, I think Terrifier 3 is a worthy entry for the series.

The gore is 100% next level, and Art the Clown is entertaining as ever! We also get more awesome fighting between Art and the final girl, who kick each other’s ass once again in another battle royale.

Sienna’s chemistry with Art is still amazing, they play off of each other so well! I was also so happy to see one thing that I was hoping for:

More backstory for Art the Clown and Sienna.

While there are still some unanswered questions, I was given enough information to come up with several new theories!

And one other thing that made the film stand out, the opening to this film was INSANE.

Terrifier 3 opens with the murder of a family.

The film’s opening was extremely hard for me to watch, and I was so tensed up as the tension was slowly building up for the family to meet their demise.

What I wasn’t expecting was the lack of music that made this opening so much worse, and actually pretty great directing!

The opening of Terrifier 3 starts with a couple getting woken in the middle of the night by their daughter who claims that Santa is on their roof. If only they had listened, but by then, it was too late.

Art enters the home dressed like Santa, and murders everyone with an axe. The sound effects were extremely disturbing, like seriously the sound design was ten times better in this film!

So yeah, Art doesn’t care to hold back anymore. At all.

The rest of the kills in this film were gory as hell, but that opening is what stood out to me the most. Amazing practical effects by the crew once again!

So now on to the confirmed lore and theories:

Art the Clown is a demon from Hell.

It appears that we now know that Art the Clown is an actual demon. My theory was right the first time I saw the sequel, there was just something about his character that stood out to me.

To top it off, dude came back to life several times, so it’s obvious that Art is immortal. The question I have is: what is keeping him alive?

Why was Art sent to Earth? Is his purpose really to spread evil and kill anyone who stands in his way?

Who knows? Only time will tell in the next film!

Sienna was possibly given her powers by her father and was chosen to become the warrior to put down Art once and for all.

This is definitely only a theory, because I am still trying to figure out what I saw between Sienna and her father in the past. Her father was apparently a comic book artist that loved to draw warrior like characters in his stories.

He draws Sienna in the future as a warrior, and once she touches the drawing as a child, both her and her father see the future of what she will become. Sienna obviously freaks out, and her father comforts her.

I have so many questions after this scene.

Was her father like a messenger? Did her dad possess these powers and accidentally give them to Sienna? Did her father pass on his powers so that she could defeat Art the Clown?

Who knows? All I know is that we will find out in the next film…

So those are my theories and what has been confirmed so far. We still don’t have all the answers, but that is totally fine, I still had a hell of a good time!

This film is not for the faint hearted. Once again, I refused to discuss the kills, because this film takes each death too far. Gotta give credit to the cast and crew, they sure know how to be creative as hell when it comes to the gore!
