The Insulation is the enigmatic level of the backrooms. It has a CLASS 4 survival difficulty rating. It is UNSAFE and UNSECURE, with a MEDIUM ENTITY COUNT. The insulation is a labyrinth of fiberglass walls and ceramic tiles, with a musty odor reminiscent of an attic. The region itself features light and dark parts, as well as spaces in between, and is known as "The Limbo" (more on that later). "To me, you're a man. To her, you're only something to laugh at." --Frida Todd Browning's horrific adaptation of the story "Spurs" by Todd Robbins, Freaks (1932) has gained cult infamy over the decades--if not a "banned" film, it is, at the very least, one that was for many decades suppressed. The story centers on an old-time carnival show, a beautiful but monstrous trapeze artist (Olga Baclanova, credited simply as "Baclanova"), and the infatuation with her by a midget. The midget's girlfriend sees through the guise of deception, the massive disgust, and contempt the beautiful trapeze artist has for the little person--and for the circus "freaks" in general. "Hold on to your socks and hose and pull," as the man said. This film defies modern "politically correct" standards.

It has a CLASS UNDETERMINED rating for survival difficulty. It has UNKNOWN INFORMATION, MYSTERIOUS PROPERTIES, and UNDOCUMENTED ENTITIES. Level 16 currently has an arctic climate similar to that of everyday reality. The ice surrounding the area has a luminous, highly reflective surface that is one obvious difference. Level 16 also has a day-night cycle that takes about 13 hours to complete. This Level has temperatures that range from 10°C (50°F) to 6°C (43°F) depending on the time of day. Although there are few entities in this Level, they can be seen. It has been reported that there are numerous Light Guides in this area. These entities are extremely uncommon and are never discovered in groups, so this observation is strange. Further understanding of this phenomenon is unlikely because the Level will soon change its topography. 🔥🎃😨💀

The shimmering forest of your fantasies in the night. For a moment, close your eyes. You see it, don't you? The thunderous waterfalls. The red grass was damp with dew. The endlessly starry sky. Even the branches of Level 14 stretch up as though attempting to touch it. You can almost hear the woodland speaking to you. You're certain you'll be pleased here. Everyone else is, after all. And why should you be unhappy while others are happy? 😰👾

It held artifacts and antiques of shapes and sizes that hinted at a past of artisans and historians.
