Cabin by the Lake - A Siren's Song
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window," said Donovan. Scanning the faces of his long-time friends, he contemplated if he should relay the events that happened at the very same campsite they currently occupied. Donovan hesitated only a moment before eventually taking up the story again. After all, he had made a promise. To do otherwise would be a mistake he was not prepared to make.

The black eyed children
It is one of the most famous urban legends on the internet. There would be numerous posts on Reddit about these black-eyed children. They are mostly kids within the age range of 6 and 16. Not like normal children, whose skins would be so white. The activities they do and the languages they speak would be totally different. And their eyes would be fully black. These are some things told about their appearance in stories.

The Cabin in the Woods
“The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window.” As legend has it, Old Lady Peterson was a dark witch who was paid by others to cast spells on people that they didn’t like. She grew bitter and moved into the cabin in the woods after a spell backfired, killing her husband instead.

Curiosity killed the dog
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. There had been tales about that cabin, meant to scare little kids from playing in it I suppose. One story was about a group of kids who entered the cabin on a dare one night and were never seen again. Another story of a wild beast that only comes out once in a hundred years to feed and then goes back into hibernation. One kid even said that his grandpa saw the monster one day while hunting close to the cabin and barely made it out with his life. But my family has been coming out here every summer since I was two, and it has always been abandoned.

The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The stories had been know for a long time of people being taken from the cabin and into the darkness. Despite the stories every year for decades someone would light a candle and everytime it happened, they disappeared into the dark. It was a simple story "In order to get to Neverland, you have to light a candle so Peter Pan knows you want to come. Once lit, he will come and take you to Neverland to live forever." A children's story with an untold truth.
