Wish
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. It was strange having to see this image. I had looked into this mirror thousands of times and never before seen this. The face in the mirror was ghoulish and looked like an ugly troll. Is that what I have become? I went to bed and closed my eyes. This must be a dream, tomorrow I will wake up and everything will be normal. The problem is, I had transformed in order to achieve my waking dreams.

The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. At first, I thought it was just my imagination playing tricks on me. But as I stared into the glass, the figure staring back at me began to move on its own. Its movements were jerky and unnatural, like a marionette being controlled by an unseen force.

Broken Mirror
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I froze, staring at the glass as a creeping feeling of unease washed over me. The figure staring back at me had the same features as me, but the expression was different. It was twisted into a malevolent grin, eyes dark and piercing. It felt like it was mocking me, taunting me.
